Greetings Patrons,

A relatively recent request which I thought was an excellent idea: A nighttime version of a larger fantasy / medieval city. I had already done the city of "Waterkeep", my not very subtle nod to the fabled D&D location, so I thought I'd think about how that place would sound at night.

Deserted streets seemed like the wrong way to go for this one. I already have tracks like "Ghost Town" and various abandoned places, but a city like Waterkeep would have a fairly vibrant night life, but still be quiet.

Strolling through the streets you'd hear the traffic of merchant carts, laden with wares for the morning markets, uniformed soldiers on patrol - or carousing. Doors to taverns would open and you'd catch the fleeting sounds of revelry from within. You'd pass fountains, beggars, well wishers and night watchmen giving you the once over.

For the musical accompaniment I went with a simple celtic harp and flute melody with various strings, voices and winds coming and going throughout. I've included ambience-only and music-only versions of this track below for Patreon patrons.

Thank you all, as always, for the continuing support. Stay safe everyone.

Best,

Tim

Nice one. Peaceful, pleasant ambiance. Music adds to it without hijacking attention from the sound effects. Reminds me of an MMO background ambiance (LOTRO) in a good way. Atmospheric.

Love this one! I work late too frequently, and I like to switch to your night-ish tracks once the sun goes down. I usually use Woodland Campsite and Forest: Night for these times. But this one is a nice change--helping me feel more productive than sleepy.

Absolutely gorgeous! Some subtle downtime LoTR cityscape happening here. I'm thinking about trying to fall asleep to some of your more subtle tracks on a loop. Unconsciously help me worldbuild in my sleep? You never cease to impress.

This one is superb even with the brief moment of public urination. :)

Well...right. I heard the tavern door opening, footsteps, a gruff voice, and then...a fountain? Glad there's no zipping sound. :)
