New Ambience: Docking Procedure (Patreon)

Greetings Patrons,
The working title for this ambience was 'big things moving slowly'. I was going for a feeling of weight and inertia. I knew it was going to be sci-fi, but like all my favorite sci-fi music, it didn't have to be.
The ambience for this is a bunch of sounds, metallic and otherwise, stretched, pitched and reverberated to sound large.
The massive central ship is old and cranky. It doesn't like to be pushed. It groans and creaks its dissent at every turn. It's a good thing the pilot of the ship is a stubborn old freighter jock, so he's having none of it.
The music mirrors the action. Lots of low-end synths and strings float in and out. The music builds and ebbs as the great ship goes through its paces. There is a treated felt piano that keeps things from going too epic, but not quite folksy. As I mentioned above, the music will work nicely with all manner of big things moving slowly, regardless of genre.
As this is in sneak-peek mode for patrons, I've included the mixed track (live on the site next week), as well as ambience-only, and music-only versions. Additionally, I created 2 versions that remove the docking ship, but keep the smaller vessels that fly around it. It should be useful for a more generic exterior spaceport.
Thank you all, as always, for your continuing support.
Best,
Tim
