Chapter 4 – Solid Growth

“Tsk!”

The demon that had been cut in two at the torso, however, instantly attached himself back together.

“I see, so you also have Regeneration in you.”

“I let my guard down with the elf. That was quite a blow.”

The vampire smiled, seeming unconcerned about being cut in half a while ago.

“But that’s your limit. A subhuman cannot defeat me, a vampire. I have an immortal body.”

“Immortal? If that’s the case…”

When it comes to defeating an enemy with infinite regeneration, I think I’ll go with a classic.

“Let’s make you disappear without a trace, then.”

I chuckled.

Ever since that battle with the Magic Armament, I always feel a strange, intense, and overwhelming confidence in myself.

The feeling of being much stronger than before.

That’s…… not quite right.

I’m getting back to the strength I originally had.

It doesn’t matter to me right now if the opponent is an S-class demon.

Because I’m sure I’ll take care of it right away.

“Don’t make me laugh. I’ll get rid of you before that happens.”

The demon flipped up the hem of his tuxedo and stuck out his right hand.

“Disappear, subhuman… Rune Blast(Black Demon Bullet).”

A jet-black magic bullet was released towards me.

But I’m not going to dodge it.

I’m going to smile fearlessly and wait for the incoming magic bullet instead.

Then, dazzling sparks flew before my eyes.

The aura of magic power that surrounded me was enough to make it disappear.

“What the hell!? You don’t even have to use defensive spells to get this much magic resistance!?”

I thrust my small sword towards the startled vampire.

With a cling, the cutting edge of the sword splits into two, similar to a tuning fork.

A golden glow then appeared at its center.

“Exebanish(Spiral Rupture Gleam Slash)!”

A spiral whirlwind of radiance was then released, enveloping the vampire in its blinding light.

“Gu……oooooohhhh……my body, my body is……aaaaaaaahhh!?”

The vampire’s entire body got bound by the spiral of light and slowly vanished from the tips of his limbs up to his head.

“This level, for a subhumaaaaaannn-“

However, as if the technique was not enough, its duration ended when the demon was at the edge of disappearing, and soon enough, its body returned to normal.

No, not quite.

“I see. It really is the light attribute technique that’s your weakness.”

The speed of his Regeneration is apparently slower than before.

“How dare youuuuu……”

The vampire jumped back from the spot and tried to get some distance.

However, I’m faster than him.

With the full power of my Physical Reinforcement(Acceleration) II, I was able to catch up with the fleeing enemy in an instant.

“How dare you, subhuman!”

Against the vampire who could no longer do anything but scream his vindictiveness,

“It’s over. Exebanish!”

I unleashed the same magic sword technique and released them one after the other.

“Ridiculous! I am empowered directly by my true ancestor. This much is just……AAAAAAAAAAAaaaaahhhh!”

With a shocked cry of anguish, the demon’s body completely vaporized and disappeared in a swirl of light.

“Phew.”

I took a deep breath and released my enhancements.

“Well done, Master Lian.”

Milfa cheered me.

“Thank you, Milfa. It’s the second time I’ve done this, so I guess I’m getting used to it. But……”

I don’t know what the recoil on my body would be like if I released it to the third stage, but I feel like I could use it normally up to the second stage just like right now.

Of course, it was only with Milfa’s support that I was able to do this, so I will never forget to thank this guy err, this girl.

“As I said to you before……everything I do is for you, master.”

I am now feeling that Milfa’s words have a deeper color than before.

It was as if I was talking to a girl, not a sword – that kind of feeling.

I’m deeply grateful, Milfa. For your growth as well.

Side: Galeo Barrack

“What a……guy……”

Galeo stood there stunned, staring at the scene.

The S-class demon was utterly helpless as it got defeated by Lian.

Whether it was close quarters or even magic warfare, he completely dominated the battle.

It wasn’t just a difference in magnitude.

Its difference is in a dimensional level in itself.

(That beautiful elf boy is undoubtedly an existence that is far more overwhelming and far more advanced than us.)

Because of this difference, rather than jealousy or envy, what he felt on him was admiration.

It brought back to him the feelings he had as a child when he first started out to become an adventurer.

Also,

“Sir Liaaan~!”

“Lian! Wait for us! Mouu~!”

“We can’t catch up with you if you suddenly start running with your strengthened body.”

Three beautiful girls came running towards him.

A priestess with blonde hair in a bob cut, a warrior with red hair in twin tails, and a wizard with short blue hair.

“Sorry. About that. I heard someone fighting, so I thought I’d get a head start.”

“You’ve already taken care of everything. Impressive, Sir Lian!”

“I didn’t even get to the scene!”

“I’m just tagging along.”

The three of them surrounded Lian.

(I could see the adoration and longing in their eyes. Are the three of them all in love with Lian?)

“Hahaha. He really is…in many ways… a great boy.”

Galeo murmured with a wry smile.

“By the way, Mr. Galeo, right? Are you all right there? Are you hurt somewhere…”

“No, it’s nothing. Just a scratch. See?”

Lian asked, and Galeo grinned at him.

“Still, thank you for your help. You really saved us back there.”

“I can’t believe you defeated that vampire so easily.”

Even the normally cynical wizard Argyle seemed completely impressed.

“He’s as good as they say……No, even better than they say.”

The priest, Els, smiled admiringly.

It’s not only just the level of his skills, but also the sense of security that comes from knowing that no matter how strong the opponent is, he or she will be able to handle it.

The aura of a champion.

(It’s definitely guys like this who have the aptitude to climb to the top as an adventurer……)

Looking at Lian, they felt inspired.

(((Of course, I will continue to hone my skills in my own way. I want to be one step closer to him.)))

“Looks like I need some training again.”

Passion filled Galeo and his party’s hearts, and they couldn’t help but make a natural smile.
