Chapter 3 – Elf Magic Swordsman VS Vampire Demon

“Gahaaa!”

Galeo let out a gasp on the powerful impact as he got slammed into the ground from his back.

His broken spears were also rolled to his side.

“Damn, what strength!”

He stood up weakly, wiping the sweat on his forehead.

However, he felt his strength being drained from his extremities, signifying that the support magic that Els had cast on him was about to run out of effect.

(Argyle, too, who had unleashed a number of offensive spells, must have run out of magic power by now.)

The vampire, on the other hand, took no damage at all.

Several will-o-wisps were floating around his body, as if to show his abundant magical power.

“Are we going to be killed like this?”

He ground his back teeth tightly.

“That was quite strong for a human. Your blood will surely be very tasty.”

The vampire opened his mouth wide.

His bright red oral cavity and canine teeth as sharp as blades was revealed to them.

(I see. We’re only but a source of food for this vampire. He’s not even looking at our level at all.)

This realization fueled Galeo’s despair.

“What the ……?”

Suddenly, a flash of light filled the edge of his vision.

What followed was a roar and a shockwave, making the vampire jump back significantly.

“What are you──”

The vampire looked back in Galeo’s direction. However, his disapproving glance was not directed at Galeo and the others, but at what’s behind them.

“You……are……?”

Turning around, Galeo stared at the intruder in dismay.

A thin, slender body that could even be described as delicate.

Black hair, blue eyes, and icy good looks.

And ears pointed like knives.

An elven swordsman.

“Oh, I didn’t know you were here.”

He – Lian Tiarade – looked at Galeo and the others and gave a small chuckle.

“Run away. …… He’s too much for even us A-Class guys to handle!”

Indeed, he was a fierce competitor who had been promoted to A-Class with the fastest record.

But the other guy was just too hard to deal with.

It was a powerful enemy that even the S-class might have to take several people to defeat if they were not good enough.

“It’s fine, it’s fine. I may be A-Class by now…….”

Lian said casually and continued on his way, carelessly closing the gap between the two parties.

“Stop, you’ll get yourself killed!”

Galeo shouted and rushed forward.

(Crap. Even if the difference in strength between you and the enemy is hopelessly large, you can’t just leave a defenseless man to die. I’m an adventurer, after all.)

Protecting others, facing difficulties, and taking on challenges.

That is Galeo’s pride as an adventurer and his principle of action.

“──I see. A person like you might be a real adventurer.”

The elf made a strangely happy smile, making his feet stop for a moment.

“Thank you. But I’m fine. As for him……”

The elf drew the golden sword at his waist and faced the demon once again.

“I will defeat him alone.”

And then, Galeo saw it.

A level of power different from theirs. No, even the dimension itself is different.

An overwhelming power that was beyond their imagination.

I looked straight at the demon in front of me.

From the looks of it. It’s about as strong as an S-Class foe, or even stronger than the S-class demon Jarvice that I fought in a previous joint quest with Claudia.

I remember how hard it was for us when it took over Claudia’s body that time.

It was only a few weeks ago, but it already felt like it was a long time.

“Be careful! He can regenerate indefinitely!”

Galeo warned me.

This person is still trying to protect me from a demon that was clearly superior to him.

He was willing to put himself on the line for me.

This shows that there are also kind adventurers like him.

I was disappointed when I met someone like Malik, who was but a bundle of vanity.

So I couldn’t help but be happy upon seeing someone like Galeo.

“……What do we do, Milfa?”

For now, I asked my buddy little sword for advice.

Ever since I had sex with her human version before, I couldn’t help but recognize Milfa not only as ‘my partner sword’ but also as a ‘girl.’

But this is a battlefield now.

I have to treat her as a sword.

“This one is from a vampire family. It’s a strong enemy that rules over the power of darkness – and its weakness is light-attribute swordplay.”

Milfa gave me a quick piece of advice.

“No use, subhuman. No being can surpass me in close-quarters combat, nor can you surpass me in magic.”

The handsome young man said in an arrogant tone.

“You’re very confident, aren’t ya.”

“It’s not confidence. It’s an unshakable fact.”

“Then let’s give it a test, shall we?”

I chuckled.

“You good, Milfa?”

“Always ready, Master Lian.”

Milfa answered, but after a beat, she continued.

“I will always give my all to protect you, my Lord.”

I’m not sure if it’s my imagination or not, but I felt a lusty sentiment in her voice.

“Physical Reinforcement(Acceleration) II”

Milfa’s blade emitted a pale blue glow.

The glow that enveloped my body clung to me like an aura.

Muscle strength, kinetic vision, reflexes – my physical abilities have now improved at a much higher rate than normal Physical Reinforcement(Acceleration).

“Full Drive(Full Burst Mode).”

I announced, and took a step forward.

At the same time, my movement exceeded the speed of sound.

I ran in a straight line, spreading shock waves in my path.

“What the hell? It’s too fast……!”

The vampire shouted in astonishment.

But even his voice and reaction were too delayed.

“Brash BladeDemon Breaker Slash!”

The first blow I fired as I passed him cut the demon in half.
