some of the ways things on this show worked frustrated me beyond words (the weird hierarchy/superiority-inferiority thing going on with the ilanders vs grounders, the lack of any trainers, some of the evaluation methods, etc) but from a purely-show/entertainment standpoint, the drama of it all is so enjoyable 😭 like u watch it and u feel horrible and stressed but it’s so entertaining

i was never expecting the low score they received, i was in the same boat with maybe 1 or2. here they go switching up half the contestants but i guess we get to see them really increase their determination for the show w that.

the way they really wanted it to be like a psychological social experiment with making them have to decide everything (good for drama but bad for their mental state). i also really emphaised w heeseung having this responsibility just thrown on him when obv all of them are new to leading and working together in such stress so there is bound to be problems in communication

This episode was so full of emotions! I thought they did a really good job. But I see how much K is hitting you just wait till he debuts in big hit Japan's group I see alot of simping coming 🤣💜

it annoys me so much this episode how some of the ilanders complained about heeseung’s leading style so they were like we need a new center and voted niki for heeseung’s part. then they felt niki couldn’t sing well enough so those same ilanders started trashing him and wanted to switch back to heeseung lmao it doesn’t work that way. poor heeseung and niki 🤧

I GOT PUSHED... 💕 They’re not getting eliminated, just sent to the ground(where there’s 3 more chances to move up to iland). There’s no actual eliminations until all 4 tests are over. That was the one thing I loved about this show the most! They got a chance to prove themselves/bounce back after potentially having a rough start. I watched this while it aired and I honestly agreed with the trainers evaluations. Some of the scores were a bit harsh but they want to point out their problems early on in the show so they have the motivation and knowledge they need to improve. And Geonu isn’t the only member of Just B on this show, there’s Chu Jimin too! His stage name is JM now. He’s in ground, see if you can spot him next episode!

OK YES. I get like super sketch and crusty vibes from a lot of aspects of this show. Of course it's fun to watch for the ones we know and love but I thought the whole grounders thing was an odd way of incentivizing the others to do better when they were in worse condition? SO BIZARRE.

KIKILEE

THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING. IT'S LITERALLY KPOP BIG BROTHER. I can understand being in a house with other personalities and stress can make everyone sensitive but damn, my boy HEESUNG, LET HIM BREATHE.

KIKILEE

NOOO BC EVERYONE KEEPS TELLING ME HE IS DEBUTING SOON AND I'M NOT READY!

KIKILEE

Honestly you have one of the older and more trained ones just trying to help and make sure everyone is at their full potential and everyone hated him for it, and then the pressure is on the youngest and then he didn't meet expectations...it's a SHIT SHOW.

KIKILEE

I have to say, I really appreciate and like that aspect of the show where they are able to better themselves for a chance, I'm just salty the grounders had a pretty poor training facility and couldn't even stay there overnight. It's such a weird incentive for them to push harder and be better but I guess in a really weird psychological and entertainment POV it makes sense? LMAO. ALSO, GEONUUUUUUU. I put 2 and 2 together with him and omg I am so happy for him! Just B killed their debut!

Yeah I think it was a good theory but kind of backfired unintentionally on the psychological aspect. But one could argue that putting them in that environment really will show who’s got the mental strength to make it long term in the idol world with a large company like Big Hit with the eyes of the world on them. I feel like the purpose of this show was not to give them more training but throw them into an experiment and see who comes out improved from it and which personalities work well together. Like maybe it mirrors how Big Hit produces comebacks for BTS, TXT and now Enhypen performance and title track wise. The producers that evaluate and work with them in future episodes are the same producers they work with now that they’ve debuted. Just because some trainees didn’t flourish in this environment doesn’t mean they aren’t ready to be idols, just not for this specific group vision that Big Hit had. There are so many other SUCCESSFUL companies and groups that do not follow the Big Hit process. Like Geonu and Jimin are KILLING IT in Just B and they work so well in that group with the producing style and company.

I’m really enjoying your reaction to I-Land . I watch it from the beginning and I voted to Heesung, Jay, Sunghoon, My sunshine Sunoo, No-Ki. Yes they have to do exactly as the choreography.
