I loved your reaction and I am looking forward to seeing more episodes!!!! Couple things to note: 1. The one you said that looked familiar, seokhwa, he’s in WEi with Yohan. 2. I am warning you, this series is super intense and an emotional roller coaster as you can see just from the first episode. It’s only going to get more intense from here with many twists and turns and emotions so I suggest preparing some tissues because there times in this show where you will need them. This show is incredibly brutal so get ready for one hell of a ride.

ITS FINALLY TIME!!! YASSSSS Yeah this episode is more documentary style but there is more survival like stuff in the future episodes. I like how they started off this way instead of jumping straight into challenges. I-land is that way too. You get halfway through the show before they start eliminating anyone. There’s rankings but no one gets sent home right away and they have chances to prove themselves. Also I don’t know how you’re watching this but the Bruno cuts with the music are making me laugh so HARD! They must have different music permissions or someone made a creative decision when reuploading it 😂 The full episodes are on the official YG Treasure Box YouTube channel fully subbed and unedited from how they were originally aired if you’re interested. Fun fact, Junghwan was only 13 when this was filmed 🙃 You may have figured out some of the trainees who didn’t make it, but if you’re still curious about some give an update in future episode reactions and we can fill you in!

Finally yas! :) Btw, the other trainees who didn't make it to final treasure actually debuted in other groups like seokhwa (trsr b) with wei, bx &amp; seunghun (trsr a) with cix, jongseob (trsr c) with p1harmony, and mahiro &amp; jyunhao (trsr j &amp; b) with bugvel. :)

Seokhwa sounds familiar to you because he’s now the main vocalist in WEi and he sings your favorite part in “Twilight”. Added bonus he’s besties with Jaehyuk and they were the ones holding hands in TREASURE B when those two trainees were kicked out. You’ll also noticed Jaehyuk grabbing Seokhwa’s arm when Yoonbin and Jihoon joined Treasure B. Precious besties right? Anyways....you’ll get to know a lot more about the other yg trainees in later episodes. Obviously...Team A will be mentioned and other yg trainees had better screen time than others. But what I love about this show is how those not known trainees really just comes and surprises you with their talent and personality..and you’re like WRECKED. I watched YGTB in real time and honestly came for Yedam...heard about Treasure A or they were called, YG SILVER BOYS before YGTB. I ended up getting invested in the show and other trainees other than Yedam. 😂 I mean I still voted for Yedam and my faves, but I definitely was wrecked badly...especially by Yoonbin. If he stayed in TREASURE...he would have been my wrecker in TREASURE..possibly bias. It would have been Yoonbin, Yedam, Yoshi, and Asahi for me.

Chrissy I'm like 30mins into this reaction and I think you need some background on how YG training works hahaha So actually what they are showing you in this episode is how normal training, casting etc works in YG. They cast people, be it through auditions or street casting, train them and in YG, all trainees have to prepare for the monthly evaluations that are held every last week of the month. This allows the producers etc to see how they are improving month on month as well as provide feedback/think about what groupings would work best. This has been the system since Bigbang's era. If YG doesn't see your potential or see that you're improving, he will say things like "I'll give you 1 more month", and if the trainee still doesn't show improvement, then they are let go so it's not completely without warning to be fair to YG. Trainees in YG are divided into teams to train with Team A considered as the best team/closest to debut. Oh and also, before I forget, that handsome dance teacher is Dony, or Kwon Youngdon, one half of the famous Kwon twins (yes he has an equally handsome brother!!) They are part of Hitech, which is YG's exclusive male dance crew now housed under YG's X Academy! EDIT: OK I just finished watching and to also clarify, this was a survival show! there was public voting and everything. The show's title comes from the oft used phrase "Treasure Box" that k-netizens use to describe YG hiding all their talent in the YG basement lmao. So YG being YG, decided to clown themselves and own that title. This first episode is really just all the set-up for the announcement of the survival show. Previous YG survival shows (eg Win: Who is Next that birthed Winner) also started out that way by showing the trainees in their natural habitat then YG telling them they are gonna compete for debut!

Ahhh I see I see! I feel as though this is pretty much the same procedure and eval process mostly all companies out their trainees through! I feel like I just like watching this aside from shows like PDX bc it’s not like they have trainees from different groups competing, it’s just specifically the companies trainees!

Fun fact : The HOT dance teacher is very sexy and he has been dancing since bigbang was a rookie, and... He has a TWIN! they are double the hotness. Go check out KWON TWINS. A lot of famous YG dancers has fans club of their own. Also I think one of the twins did trained with Winner before but decided just to be a dancer.

Hi Chrissy! Loved your reaction and appreciation for all members and participants in the show XD Just came onto patreon to watch treasure box reactions cause I love your youtube reactions and I don’t regret. I wanted to answer a couple questions and maybe help give insight into some things. Since BIGBANG and 2NE1’s debut, the korean media and public dubbed them as the ugliest idols to ever debut and would be instaflops. Of course, no one now would dare say they are fugly or flops. Nonetheless, the reputation that YG debuts the “ugliest” idol with authentic talent preceded them. YHS (Yang Hyun Suk) is said to pass idols with eye smiles because he finds it cute so them being called ugly did not stick well with him. In Treasure Box as well as BLACKPINK’s formation, he sought to bring in “looks” with the YG talent that people were familiar with. YHS likes to create tension because he has always been of the mind that adversity helps to push talents even further and polish them more. He saw it when BIGBANG was scrutinized for their looks and people sent them death threats for unfounded “scandals”. He saw it when 2NE1 was faced with similar scrutiny for their looks and capabilities. WINNER when Namam Taehyun left the group. iKON being judged as flops by netizens in comparison to their former. BLACKPINK for only being picked for their looks rather than their abilities. These groups rose up and said we don’t give a flying f about any of y’all and now they’re all top. So in Treasure, you will often see him enjoying a battle or creating suspense as he believes it builds character and a persevering will against all odds. I respect his ability to pick talented idols. I can’t say I agree with all his methods cause I don’t like seeing them hurt so much. They’re okay now though with even those disqualified debuting in other companies and groups, so I suppose the end result is fine though the journey was ROUGH. As mentioned YG likes drama, so they like putting in all the stops to make you feel for the trainees. Tissues are a must unless you’re totally cool with the snot and literal waterfall of tears. Would not judge otherwise. You are beautiful &lt;3 Thanks for the reaction again!

They are called “Kwon Twins”.. if youre familiar with fancam mvs for example on inkigayo.. they are the only ones who has dancer fancam. They are know coz aside of their dancing skills, they look good too.. if you check their IG they look like idols too wearing and promoting different luxury brands as well.. YGX dancers/choreographers are the best. They are also like idols hahaha.. YGX choreographs other artists. They choreographed itzy, most of twice songs, sunmi’s and many more 😍
