James: Hello patrons!

Mistress Cereza: Good evening, my dears. Hope your summer is winding down nicely.

James: We have a lot of information to convey in this update, so please bear with us. This will be a longer read than usual.

Mistress Cereza: I'm sure they're eager to learn what's going on, my love.

James: As we've mentioned before, this account was in jeopardy after a notice from Patreon's "trust and safety" team. The good news is, after two weeks of back and forth email with their staff, this Patreon is in compliance. So it should be stable, for now.

Mistress Cereza: *annoyed golf clap*

James: However, the things I had to do to get the account back in compliance means this won't be our main platform for much longer.

Mistress Cereza: Tell them about all the nonsense, slut.

James: Basically, they informed me that some of my story content was problematic and not supported by their platform. I was told that all the links to my various fiction sites had to be removed.

Mistress Cereza: *frowns, crossing her arms below her bust*

James: If those had been the only issues, it might have been sustainable to remain here, but "trust and safety" wasn't done. They then informed me that if I didn't remove the stories they didn't like from each third party fiction site I publish on, those sites could no longer link to my Patreon.

Mistress Cereza: Which, in effect means, we can no longer sustainably grow the Patreon. At which point... What good is it?

James: Exactly. So it was either censor my content and allow them to dictate what I write and don't write, or start deleting the Patreon links. No one is ever going to tell me what I can and can't write, so I chose the latter.

Mistress Cereza: They would argue they're not telling you what you can't write, only what they won't support. But when you're using their platform as your main source for funding your work, the two are functionally the same thing.

James: To that end, I have been busy for the last week setting up our new base of operations at SS!

Mistress Cereza: Have a look, my cherubs!

James: What do you think, Mistress? I'd say I've put our new artwork to good use.

Mistress Cereza: It looks amazing! I love the design and I'm excited about our new goals! We have some new projects and rewards lined up for when the SS hits certain funding levels.

James: We're saying "SS" and using an indirect link because, for all I know, mentioning another platform on Patreon is also a violation. I would hope it's not, but I'm not going to read fifty pages of TOS to find out. It's entirely possible we could get warned / shut down for this very update.

Mistress Cereza: Another excellent reason to begin the moving process.

James: So, in summary, this Patreon will remain open for those of you who prefer it or who can't make the jump to SS right away. I will continue to publish content here as long as I'm able to. But starting now, SS will become our new home and the focus of our attention.

Mistress Cereza: We know making an account on a new website is a hassle, but I can promise you moving our entire operation was a much bigger one. We didn't want to do this. Our hand was forced.

James: The good news is, SS has an option to bill in 30 day cycles regardless of when you subscribe. So you don't have to wait for the 1st of the month. Auto-billing will no longer occur that way. You can join whenever and you won't be charged again for 30 days.

Mistress Cereza: In addition to supporting greater creative freedom, SS has some other advantages, like allowing PDFs to pop-up and read nicely right in the browser.

James: There will likely be disadvantages as well that we haven't discovered yet. They're a newer platform after all. They don't seem to have an app right now, but hopefully that will change as they grow more popular. We're not sure how we're going to handle polls during the transition. Probably adding the votes between Patreon and SS? But eventually, after most of the community moves to SS, the polling will be done exclusively over there.

Mistress Cereza: If we lose contact, for whatever reason, you'll always be able to find a fresh link to our home on whatever fiction site you discovered us on. Most of the Patreon links have already been changed to SS links and the rest will be changed soon.

James: I should mention, in closing, that I may send out an email to our patrons announcing these changes. If you've already read this update, you can disregard it. And don't worry, you're not being added to a mailing list. This will just be a one time thing.

Mistress Cereza: Phew, I'm glad that's done. Back to business!

James: Indeed. I was hoping to have the new commission finished or close to finished by now, but because of the way my August schedule was thrown into chaos by all this *points above* I haven't even started it. I'll be getting to work on it soon and you can expect your next story in a week or so.

Mistress Cereza: Thanks for reading this long-ass update! We'll see you again soon, either here or on SS!

James: Count on it. Thanks again, Femdom fam!
