Hey, how much SP are the newbies going to spend, running boosted all night? And how much XP does it take for a level 3 to pull a Rain and explode their soul? Rain has soul sight, of course, so he can probably detect the soul swelling before it becomes an issue, start princess-carrying Nim or something. Worst case, they can take a break in the morning until the Status Update hits and all of them go up 3 levels at once... Hm, do you suppose the increased pressure from the surrounding essence helps compress and stabilize their souls so they can fit more XP in? I wonder if there's a fantasy version of the bends, where you emerge from the Depths with too much XP and all your soul strain gets five times worse...

I love Rains auras, but I'll be honest. I seriously wish the dude would take atleast Earth Manipulation. Possibly with a side of Metal Manipulation 🤔 he'd be able to do so much with those, especially underground when they delve, he'd be able to make instant fortifications and harden them among other things. On the surface he could build entire cities, complete with indoor plumbing. Or with Metal Manipulation he could construct the Air Frame for his Airship. Tons of uses.

You are making an awful lot of assumptions about how far a dip he would need to be actually effective with earth magic. It’s not like a single T0 is going to be that effective. The stuff you are suggesting he be able to do is beyond what Ameliah could do when her entire build was Geomancy. To accomplish that much by gold he would have to ruin his build by taking nothing but earth magic which would be difficult to even use while wearing armor. Ruining his build entirely by putting 30 points into auras and 20 points into Earth magic sounds truly terrible.
