Good chapter.

mmm... so they are stuck? I wonder if the situation will escalate enough that the circumstance will force mc to go for the Fall Season...

Thats a cool idea, I'm thinking you have to starve yourself to unlock it.

Elaborate

If you have to get 10 in the other seasons - or even 5 - I doubt they have enough water with them to make it through Rain's training period.

Elaborate

It was a single day; Carten's exaggerating. (Maybe move Rain's pointing out the exaggeration up a bit?) But yeah, it should've gone up a couple of levels.

Elaborate

Hm, the exact configuration of tunnels is worthless unless there's a consistent pattern over time. What's important is their location in 3D space. *Rain could use [Detection] to find rare minerals with uneven distribution, and orient himself using those as position markers. *If the Core is ever within detection range, he can just try to get closer to the core from then on. If the core follows Dungeon logic, it must have a path open to itself. *Detecting "air" or "rock" might give him the current layout. Can the Dungeon change while it's being observed? *Investing in Skill Trees might unlock something game-changing... [Aura Metamagic] is next, I guess, because [Disintegration] - or something else capable of digging - would probably have [Shear] as a prerequisite. *Would Carten or Ameliah be able to smash through walls if Rain gave them +700 Strength or so? Could Jamus/Val, with 700 extra Focus? (I suppose Tallheart could do it without any boost at all, but he's not present.)

Alright you're forgiven for the previous cliff hanger!!

As they kill things the dungeon meter goes down. So the simplest answer is to just keep moving forward and kill things until the meter hits 0. Detection to orient themselves is a good secondary plan, but killing things is probably the best bet. Since it most likely takes dungeon energy to make monsters, exhausting the dungeon would probably make it stop changing shape. Also detect for hidden rooms.

Doing some quick guesstimates, every 10 tel collected is about 0.75 percent of dungeon energy. That means at 1333 tel the dungeon should be exhausted. They got 400 in one day so about 3 days of clearing and a 4th at the end.

Elaborate

Well, I mean, if the Dungeon has decent intelligence, it will simply keep its monsters far away from the party, rearrange the corridors whenever they get close to finding their way, and hope they starve to death eventually. Generally, a plan that hinges on your opponent being stupid is a plan that needs improvement. That's why I'm trying to think of ways to survive the Dungeon Core doing the smart thing.

Are dungeon cores more like a a computer or an animal, then how complex is it? I am leaning towards computer based on everything so far. There is some kind of input and the output is the tunnels changing. If it was more intelligent it would not trickle in monsters against them, like it has been doing.

Could also leave something behind and triangulate his position that way

Just wanted to say I really enjoy your story. A no gimmick litrpg story is hard to find. I really enjoy the pacing of the story. There isnt some big bad existential threat looming. Just a guy in a strange world trying to get buy.
