Hoorah! We've reached the end of our current phase of development on the coding, writing, and art fronts at around the same time!  This was a big push for us to clean up a bunch of loose ends and prepare for UI development. Once the UIs are finalized, ToA is basically in content-and-go mode. Some of that content will still be less sexy stuff, like backgrounds and the like, but for the most part, we'll be seeing more new art and animations and scenes at a faster pace than before.

It's been difficult to juggle what people really want to see with what we know we need to complete the game to our satisfaction, so it'll be nice to not really have to do that anymore! It's created really bad time pressures sometimes, which has led to some uneven quality issues that we've been slowly rectifying. We want to make sure that going forward, anything that goes into the game is as fully baked as possible, whether that's new art, new scenes, or new gameplay content.

For the past few weeks Alis has been upgrading Hiro's animation while working on new art simultaneously. We're upping the resolution to get it in line with other animations, adding facial animations, more visual differences based on player choices like hair and skin color, we're improving the various class outfits, adding a few more outfits, and showing things like being cum-stuffed or egg-pregnant like is currently shown on the belly cutaway animation.

Right now she's taken a break from all of  that to create a bunch of new sketches for potential game art. We're going to get to work on some of those while we're waiting for the next survey results. We might eventually add a vote for existing sketches as well on the surveys, or just throw up polls here or on patron-only picarto streams.

On the coding end, I'm just about done with my current wave of tasks, with a few lower priority items (and the scene branch viewer) still remaining, but I just loaded up a bunch of new scenes to write, some nice engine additions (like tracking whose cum you've got in you and also your babies if you have 'em), and some quality of life stuff, and once I'm done with all that, I'll be hitting story mode hard, while still adding new scenes and encounters to adventure mode.

So, what's on the near-term roadmap? Well, we're going to be finishing up Hiro's animation, creating the finalized UIs, adding art for the characters that don't have it, more topping and power bottoming art, and a bunch of new Hiro art for things like the prostitution scenes and various existing scenes.

In regards to Hiro, we really want to make sure that he runs the full gamut based on his proclivities in terms of his demeanor - shy, confident, cute, raunchy, the whole deal, based on character actions. That will be reflected in both his dialogue and demeanor in the script, and in his idle animation, and sex art and animations as best we can. 

We've mentioned it before, but just a reminder that once we're all caught up on animating existing characters, patrons will be voting on more sex animations as well! The remaining animations (for now) are: Spider, Naga, Angel, Mermaid, Shopkeep, Innkeeper, Wasp, Ettin, Mouth Fiend, Quetzal, Vampire Hunter, and Lupa the Werewolf, who's up next.

Just curious if there is anything planned for the elf you find at the water spring? one of my favourite encounters as the writing is great and mixed with the calm music too is just perfect.

Are there going to be anymore new monster encounters planned? Or have we reached the end of that phase?

Yep, although we have slowed that in order to do this general stuff and also to fill out more contents on the existing characters. Needless to say there will be a catgirl and a pig-girl and succubi and such.

any new backgrounds or art pieces in the game that you can give a hint towards?

The less sexy background stuff is actually really good to work on and I'm jazzed that you'll be making the entire package more robust. Content is nice but these backbone features are just as important. I've been overall really impressed with your production speed and quality, and this is coming from someone who has worked on triple A titles for over a decade and a half. Continue the great work and I'll follow whatever you decide to pursue.

Agreed I don’t know about you but to me at least, sex is an emotional experience as well as physical, so naturally sex games need to have a narratively, structure, proper character, to bring the audience in on the experience. Two random people having sex out of the blue is just flesh pounding flesh. The contextual story is what makes it sexy
