MBML Ch.1 - Episode 3 [Status Report #1] (Patreon)

Hello everyone!

I'm excited to share some updates on various topics, despite a few hurdles we faced in finalizing the recent update. I trust you've enjoyed our latest work.

First and foremost, let's talk about the development of Chapter 1 - Episode 3. We'll delve into that in more detail shortly.

Secondly, I've promised to keep you informed about my health. I've decided to combine that update with this status report, for efficiency.

Rest assured, I'm not on my deathbed or anything of that sort. The pain I'd been experiencing has subsided due to the medication I've been on, allowing me to concentrate better and complete the update. However, my condition hasn't shown any significant improvement over the past few weeks. Without getting too graphic, let's just say the wound hasn't closed and continues to drain.

Immediately after the official Patron release, I consulted my doctor. Unfortunately, I didn't receive the news I'd hoped for. Despite the abscess having popped, it seems to have formed a fistula—an infection that burrows and doesn't heal naturally. The doctor prescribed another round of antibiotics to potentially close the opening, which I've now completed, but there's been no noticeable improvement.

I plan to wait a few more days for the antibiotics to clear my system before revisiting my doctor for a final decision on the 20th of this month. There's a substantial possibility that surgery may be required. If that's the case, I'll have no choice but to take a break of a week or more, until I'm able to sit comfortably again. I'll keep you updated on this as it develops.

In the meantime, I'm still able to work without much discomfort, and I'll continue developing the next update before the 20th.

Moving on to our game developments. If you've played the latest update, you know what lies ahead in the next episode. Freya's arc is on the horizon and will likely make up a significant part of the upcoming update. Prepare yourselves for a touch of heartache - you're all masochists for sticking with us this far! 😅

Freya's arc will delve into her relationship with Aine and Kei, giving you an insight into this little minx's personal battles and internal struggle. It's time to peel back the layers of her personality, revealing her true character beneath the facade. She's one of my favorite characters to write, so I'm incredibly eager to delve into her storyline. Plus, she has a unique charm to her(le smol tiddies), which adds to her appeal! 🤣

In addition to Freya, Episode 3 may feature more characters such as Klara, Naomi, and Aine. We plan to pick up their stories from where we left off in the latest installment. We're also considering adding more characters, but we'll be cautious not to overload the episode. 

The upcoming update will also cover a substantial part of the main storyline, which will set the stage for Episode 4 to be a main story-focused installment and the concluding episode of Chapter 1. We can then look forward to the journey that awaits us in Chapter 2. However, let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet!
