Hi everyone and thanks for your support! <3

1. NEW FEATURE FOR RPO

Today, I am bringing a highly requested new feature to relationship and pregnancy overhaul.

Patron-only Early Access for now; it'll go public whenever RPO is updated for the upcoming next month patches.

(typo on moodlet has been fixed since capture!)

This new feature is cryptic pregnancies, and has been added to RPO Mod 14.

If you're interested in using it, you would need to DELETE your two RPO core files and your M14 file, download the ones from this post and put those in instead.

There is a 5% base chance of these cryptic pregnancies happening if you have that setting switched on. You can turn it off in global settings, still under "actions" as always.

If you want to CHEAT one of these to happen, you can. Just make sure you have "debug and special actions" enabled in settings, then go to the main RPO menu -> Gen. management -> Gen. debug -> add stat, and add to the relevant one. (Of course, do that only if you already know your Sim is pregnant, and your Sim isn't showing yet.)

2. ABOUT THE PATCH / PACK NEXT MONTH

I also want to talk about next month.

As most of you probably know, there will be a huge game patch on March 14 or so, followed by the release of an expansion pack. The patch will contain the infant's update.

This update will very very likely cause nearly all mods to break (because the addition to a new age/lifestage, by itself, is extremely likely to break any mod that has any test for or reference to a list of ages - and every single trait has that - and of course that's only one aspect of the update).

And then, we have the pack itself. Which once again might break things, but most importantly for my work, it will require bilateral integration work that might be extensive. Especially for memory panel. This is further complicated by the fact that some features being packed locked and some not will probably mean that I will have two come up with different solutions for people who have the pack and those who don't.

Long story short: I normally update my mods very fast after patch, but this time around, it will VERY LIKELY be simply impossible to do so.

Expecting this mod apocalypse, I am very cautious about what I create right now, because I don't know how much stuff will change and how much I might have to re-change or remake once the updates hit.

YES!!!

I have been waiting for this feature to come <3 am I going to be anxious and paranoid on my sims behalf? YES! For that big update, take your time and take care of yourself. We don't want any stress injuries or burnouts. I can no longer play vanilla without RPO and some of the other big ones, (+ I have a bunch of paused pregnancies I want to enjoy) could you give any (generous) estimation? just something I can cling to while battling excitement, withdrawal, patience, and jealousy?

Fefe

hello please which file do we need to download ? do we just add this in or delete the others thanks

I originally thought it was "cryptid pregnancy" but this is also very exciting!

Thank you for all that you do, Lumpinou! You have made The Sims 4 actually enjoyable for me during the last few years. I'm looking forward to the update and pack that will hopefully make the sims feel less one dimensional, and fix some of the issues many players have had with this game. I'm certain your mods will add a lot more on top of the new changes, but please take your time and don't feel pressured. All your stuff is worth waiting for, and I will continue to support you!

Thank you so much for all your hard work! After watching the livestream I immediately thought of you and how much work you’ll probably have to put into things. I cannot wait to see what you create from this update!!

Thank you so much for your hard work with these amazing mods! I know these updates are going to take some time, so I wish you luck! the RPO collection has become one of my must have, essential mods/mod sets! Can't wait to see what you have planned for the next update!

jasmine

moodyDev

I absolutely love your work, and I hope that you do not feel rushed when this update and new pack come out. EVERYONE should be understanding that these are huge changes, and can take some time to make updates, etc. I will be patiently waiting<3

My sim is definitely pregnant but it’s been like 5 sim days and there’s no pregnancy discovery. And since it’s been so long there’s no option to take a pregnancy test. She can only throw up.

lumpinou

Hi, if the test option has vanished, it means discovery (BG system) tried to trigger and failed. My mod doesn't cause that to happen. Do you play with locked and or anormal pregnancy durations

Destany Roman

where did the miscarriage option go ?

Julia Kolesnichenko

Thought of you after the news popped up. Wish you luck on the way and staying here with you <3

Super confused on how this works now post infant update. Do i use the RPO files from this STILL? I have this story that i want to play out involving cryptic pregnacy for a sim of mine. I try to cheat her cryptic pregnancy and it doesnt work. somehow she knows shes pregnant by trimester 1 and i dont want her to know until at least trimester 2

LexxoxmeowLXM

Are the cryptic pregnancies included in the new infant patch update on your RPO mod?

lumpinou

Hi, normally they won't know till 2nd trimester. Other mods might be able to interfere and I don't know about it yet because this is a recent feature -.
