Hello patrons and thanks so much for your support! I hope you're doing well and enjoying your sims' adventures.

It's time for an update on what I've been up to!

----------- 1. WHAT I’VE BEEN WORKING ON:-----------------------

  • A brand-new mod project, almost ready to be released (more on this below)

  • Getting back on track with LAW & DISORDER: I really want to get this done by this point and be done with it. I have transferred and reworked the script pieces that were in memory panel for this, I’ve also been working on the tuning.

  •  RPO M4: subsequent paternity tests for children who aren’t the latest one (current system supports only the latest born child (or not born yet), new system will support any previous ones in addition to that)

  •  Continuing on RPO M20: broad DNA testing and family features (see here for when I talked about it in more detail). My problem with this one has to do with design; I feel that what I have isn’t quite optimal in term of gameplay enjoyment / simplicity to understand for players. I’m going to change a few things and then perhaps put it in beta so you can judge.

  • These and RPO M3 updates + small updates for Sim Info Manager and Curious Inquiries are all I’ll be focusing on until all of this is done.

It is a lot, but I am trying to let nothing else derail me or take precedence. I don’t know what order these things will be finished, but one after the other they should happen.

----------- 2. THE NEW MOD / PROJECT:-----------------------

This mod is a system aiming to help with those moments when you don’t really know what to do next in game.

It makes it possible to get gameplay suggestion prompts IN GAME whenever you want.

The fun part of the system is that anyone in the community can make a set of gameplay suggestions and share it with other players, so that they can get these suggestions in their game too.

The community makes the gameplay suggestions, you install whomever's suggestions you like (or make your own!), and in game you can have one supplied at random, by category.

Example of how suggestions look in game:

Suggestions can require certain ages, and / or certain relationships (example, "Get married to (Sim 2)" requires being of marrying age and having a romance with someone). If this concept is to people's liking, I can add more options (pack requirements, etc).

So you can have general suggestions ("Drown a Sim in the pool!") or more precise ones ("Joan should give Bean for adoption")!

_______

There's a Web Interface to make your own suggestions: (there is no log-in and what you write is not saved on the web at any moment)

Once you save, you get a tiny file containing what you wrote, in a format readable by the mod in game. You can put it in your Mods folder or share it with the community or both!

You can also preview what's in a suggestion file, perhaps to check if you like the contents of someone's shared file, or to check your own file for mistakes.

There's more detailed info on the website (image preview:)

 ------

What do you think of the concept?

The Mod and its companion web app (website, if you will) are almost ready and should just take a few more days to get released : )

That's it for today! :)

This is great!! I love it!! Will you integrate this with Basemental so it can be used when they get arrested for selling?

Simeralla

I love the custom in-game suggestions. I went to the site and made my first one. It was simple to follow instructions and also very exciting! I can't wait to do more and add this mod to my gameplay once its ready
