Kritical´s Very Informative FAQ (Patreon)

It holds many answers and perhaps some are relevant to your questions. If you wonder how something works, the wiki is the place to visit.

Basic Troubleshooting 101 BEFORE you report an issue-

Make sure you have all the requirements. If something is outright missing in your game that should be there, you are almost certainly missing a package. My wiki will tell you what you need.

1. Make sure to visit my wiki (blackvelvetroom.com) and at least skim the relevant section. Maybe you are simply expecting something to happen that isnt supposed to.

2. Make double sure you have only one version (the latest) of any of my files. For example [Kritical]greatMod1.package is an older version than [Kritical]greatMod1a.package which is older than [Kritical]greatMod1b.package, but unrelated to [Kritical]greatMod2a. These older versions might be hiding in different subfolders, so make sure to check your whole Mods folder. As a supporter, you have access to my dropbox, so the easiest way to ensure your files are up to date (especially when downloading my files previously from sites like LoversLab or Wicked) is to delete the previously downloaded public files and downloading the whole dropbox folder.

3. Make sure your game is not too outdated, ideally the most recent version. My mods are version agnostic to a large degree, so two or three version behind is usually not a problem, but too outdated will break some things.

4. As a last resort before reporting an issue, try temporarily taking all other mods, save for whatever you are having issue with, out of the Mods folder and see if there is a mod conflict going on.

Relbits Troubleshooting 101 (using a very old save with a new version of the mod, saying you dont own the sub)

1. Turn on testing cheats - Open the console by pressing Ctrl+Shift+C on your keyboard. Type in "testingcheats on" without the "". Press enter.

2. Select your Dominant sim.

3. Shift+left click on the submissive sim and find the "DoS Debug" category.

4. Find the "Debug: Give D/s relbits" interaction and use it.

5. Check that the relbits applied by opening the submissive´s profile with your Dominant selected. It should now display the D/s relationship.

Q: I have problem with X, can you....

A: I would love to, but its imperative to provide screenshots. One picture is worth a thousand words. Please, if at all possible, show & tell me what is wrong, instead of just telling me.

Moreover, describe your problem in detail, if the screenshot isnt enough. Saying "X doesnt work" is almost completely unhelpful. I need enough information to replicate the problem to be able to fix it.

Lastly, please send tech support requests into my direct messages or in the discord tech support channel, the comments are a poor place to post your problem.

Q: How can I make my sims stay in your dungeon furniture until I release them?

A: By tweaking your WW settings slightly.

1. Go to Wicked Whims Settings

2. Go to Sex Settings

3. Go to Sex Interaction Settings

4. Go to Sex Progressions Settings

5. Go to Player Sex Duration

6. Select Climax Finish

7. Make sure you dont have Continue Progression After Climax turned on.

1. Go to Wicked Whims Settings

2. Go to Sex Settings

3. Go to Sex Interaction Settings

4. Go to Sex Progressions Settings

5. Go to Player Sex Duration

6. Make sure Time Limit Duration is ticked.

7. Finally, go into Sex Interaction Duration and input any number you want- this represents the amount of real time minutes the animation will play for.

One tiny thing is that you will have to manually cancel all regular sex interactions your sims might have, but other than that, it works just fine.

Q: How can I use your objects with non household members?

A: You have to enable NPC control in Wicked Whims. Go into Sex Settings>Cheats>Manual NPC Sex and turn it on. By default NPC sex has a time limit of 3 minutes. You might want to raise that, but beware, it applies to all NPC sex, not just my objects used by NPCs.

Q: What do I need to use your mods?

A: I make everything basegame compatible, so updated base game is fine. If there ever is a feature that requires an expansion or stuff pack, I will note that on release.

You dont need it to use my clothing, but most of my objects rely on this awesome mod by Turbodriver. If you ever see me referring to "WW" in my release posts, this is the mod I mean.

Q: I cant find object X in Buy mode.

A:  When you search for something, if it doesnt come up in the shorthand results, you should click on the first line that says- Text Search for : "X" - X being the phrase you are searching for). Otherwise it might not display the result you are after (for example if you hit enter instead of clicking the aforementioned line).

Probably not? I am not modifying any base game files, so there should be no potential for conflicts. However it most definitely wont cooperate either and whatever mechanics either mods implement will simply exist alongside one another.

I love the mod! Though I might have a bug issue to report. Whenever the submissive sim is done doing training given by the dominant sim, afterwards none of the wicked whims interactions work for said submissive sim (Mainly Make a Move) and it seems that other household sims around them are unable to ask for sex with other sims. Rules of conduct are a bit bugged too. Whenever I had the dominant sim tell the submissive sim that no clothes were allowed, the submissive sim complied and got undressed, but proceeded to get stuck in a loop saying "I have to get undressed now!"

not the creator, but it does not to my knowledge. if you want to prevent pregnancy, you can use wicked whims mechanics (you can even turn pregnancy off entirely in the settings there or make the chances very low)

Hey so right now im having issues with collars, i have one on my sim but they keep saying they dont have it on and has a worried emotion i keep trying different collars by your mod but nothings working

Hello, well, depends. 90% are in the sculpture section, but there are some exceptions ... for example the arcade is in electronics if I remember correctly. Doing a text search for "[Kritical]" should list them all. See how to do a proper text search directly above in the FAQ.

I dont know what you mean. The animations are usually set at 9999 or 99999 loops, which is plenty. Check if you dont have the Sex Animations Duration Override activated. And if you mean sims leaving the machine ... you are posting a comment below a FAQ post that explains two way of preventing that :)

Hello, thank you. It depends on what you want to do. If you want to assign the bodytype just to some sims, download the nondefault and assign it in the bodyselector (wicked whims personalize feature).

That rather depends on what exactly you mean by that. I might make more sextoys in future, but other than that you should be able to find suitable clutter from other mod makers.

I'd recommend you to look for QuinSims animations. I think there are one or two more creators who make animations for Kritical objects but I just can't remember their names. Some of them are available for free on lovers lab.
