Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing a rather large update to my expansion for my Alternate Sorcerer class - the Alternate Sorcerer: Expanded!

Included here are additional Metamagic Options, some new and Alternate Sorcery out Feats, eight spells new to the Sorcerer class, and eight Sorcerous Origins!

ALTERNATE SORCERER: EXPANDED

Metamagic Abilities. The options included here are a little more “out there” than those I included with the base class. With these, you can blind foes, knock them prone, and even cast your spells with other creatures’ spell slots!

Sorcerous Feats. I’ve included a much-requested updated version of the Metamagic Adept feat from Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything, along with a new Feat of my own creation: Sorcerous Spark! Interested in feedback on these.

Sorcerer Spells. A slew of eight elemental-themed spells that have appeared in some of my other projects, rebalanced and updated to be used with the Sorcerer!

Sorcerous Origins. Included here are updated versions of my eight additional Sorcerous Origins. Play as an imprisoned eldritch entity (The Chained), a divinely chosen ruler (Divine Right), a whimsical Sorcerer of the Fey (Feyblood), a druidic Sorcerer (Greensinger), an Abyssal Sorcerer (Hellspawn), a master of sorcerous warfare (Ironmonger), a classic take on blood magic (Vampiric Soul), or an entropic destroyer of magic (Voidwielder)!

Alternate Sorcerer: Expanded by laserllama

In 5e, the Sorcerer class, while balanced, mechanically falls short of the class fantasy. For players that desire mechanics that align with the class fantasy, the Alternate Sorcerer class looks to do so with many mechanical changes. Included here are additional options for the Alternate Sorcerer class: Additional Metamagic Abilities.

Do you have a change log for this? I see that Divine Command is a bonus action now. I've thought before that the Ironmonger's Blade of Strife seems a bit weak (especially since the damage doesn't increase until 14th level), but I haven't tried playing one so perhaps I'm missing something.

Hey, is the Alternate Sorcerer: complete edition just a pf that includes this and the alternate sorcerer pdf in one? or is there extra content?

So, after reading through the PDF, I have a few comments the Voidwielder still needs a buff to Entropic Touch, maybe just that you can pull an object from the void to your hand, making it actually useful for anything except destroying items? Very happy with the change to Vampiric Soul to un-break it Love the tweaks to Ironmonger for the extra attacks with Blade of Strife Greensinger feels like it needs a bit more variation in its features than just the vines, not sure what could work. Maybe i'm just put off a bit by a sorcerer subclass that feels like it controls nature better than a druid lol For the Faeblood, you should probably consider how your Alternate Bard changes its power, since it's a half caster and thus doesn't have higher level spells. Heartsight feels a bit underpowered, but i suppose expertise in insight and emotion reading is fine. Seasonal Attunement and Gateway Magic are great, but Intoxicating presence feels a tad weak, maybe it's better in play though. It might be interesting to do a total rework to focus it on the fey theme and remove the access to bard spells? I didn't really look at Divine Right and Chained since I didn't pay much attention to those in the previous version either In any case, I'm very happy to see the update, and sorry for the long comment.
