Hey all, back with an update to my take on the ever-popular Warlord class!

The Warlord is a martial (non-magic) support class that relies on their strategic use of Orders and other abilities to lead their allies to victory! I had a lot of fun creating this class, so I hope you like it. As always, I’m open to constructive criticism and feedback!

PDF is attached below.

Change Log (1.0.0 - 1.1.0)

The major theme of this revision was to move away from the Warlord’s over-reliance on their Charisma (it is still important, but not the MOST important). The main way I did this was removing all mentions of Charisma from the Orders you get at 1st level. I’ve also reworked Cunning Insights, a few of the Fighting Styles, and added a new feature (Stately Presence) at 14th level to replace the (lazy) extra Ability Score Increase.

Detailed Change Log:

  • Sweet new cover art!
  • Battlefield Tactics // Defensive Order // Moved up to 5th level
  • Battlefield Tactics // Rallying Order // New Order, heal with Hit Dice!
  • Cunning Insights // Reworked to a special reaction.
  • Fighting Styles // Classical Swordplay // Reduced to a +1 to hit.
  • Fighting Style // Standard Bearer // Reworked
  • Fighting Style // Versatile Fighting // Removed the bonus action options.
  • Advanced Tactics // Defensive Order // Moved up from 1st level.
  • Advanced Tactics // Inspiring Order // Removed.
  • Advanced Tactics // Steadfast Order // Reworded for clarity.
  • Rested and Ready // Reworded for clarity
  • Expert Tactics // Fortifying Order // Clarified that the target gains resistance to the triggering attack.
  • Stately Presence // New ability
  • Dauntless Leader // Reworked, AoE Orders!
  • Ferocity // Primal Instinct // You gain proficiency in Intimidation OR Survival.
  • Skalds // Flames of Hope // Clarified that it only affects friendly creatures.
  • Tactics // Tactical Mastermind // Clarified how this works!

On "Rallying Order", do you add your Constitution mod. to the roll?

Thanks for the clarification! Maybe it's better to state that on the ability to not cause confusion
