Bounty Hunter - Resurrected from beyond the grave is one of my earliest homebrews, the Bounty Hunter archetype for the Ranger. This is both your "Urban Ranger" and your humanoid hunter. Have fun with some maneuvers!

Exorcist - Another take on the Order of the Ghostslayer in my quest to bring the Blood Hunter into the fold of 5e game design and philosophy.

Grim Huntsman - Like the idea of a Blood Hunter, but you don't want to accidentally kill yourself? Try this Ranger subclass.

Nomad - A psionic Ranger? Inspired by a subclass for the old UA: Mystic class.

Spellbreaker - A finalized version of my "mage hunter" class for the Ranger. Enjoy!

Stargazer - Still not sure that I am happy with this subclass. The Circle of the Stars came out and sort of killed my vibe here.

Wrangler - This guy is brand spankin new,  and definitely needs some other eyes on it. I think from the mechanics you can see what I'm going for here. Where the Beast Master is friends with animals, the Wrangler bends them to their will.

Ranger Archetypes by laserllama

While most rangers specialize in hunting beasts, monsters, and other creatures that threaten civilization, Bounty Hunters protect humanoids from their own. Trained to hunt in urban environments, Bounty Hunters can track their prey through the dark alleyways and underbellies of any town or city.

This was the perfect way to do the Bounty Hunter. Maneuvers are a cool mechanic and shouldn't be limited to just Battle Masters for sure. This works perfectly with the Alternate Fighter to bring them into the fold. I _love_ the HD expenditure for abilities idea. I feel like that's much smoother and in line with standard 5e rules for the Blood Hunter. There might be an issue with having a Hunter, and a Grim Huntsman. Might be ok, but maybe Grim Warden would be clear and not step on toes. I see what you're saying about the Stargazer. I still like yours, but it feels like the Circle kind of stole its thunder. Two questions! Do you prefer feedback here or on reddit? Any plans on a kickstarter book when you've got all the classes up to snuff? I'd back it in a heartbeat. The quality you come up with is second to none. You never get too niche with subclasses yet are unique enough to always fill some kind of role, and mechanically you rely heavily on precedent so everything just feels like it /belongs/ in an official sourcebook. Thanks for what you do!

Noice! I admit this reminded me of my 2 all time favorite subclasses for Ranger: Flame Warden and Stormwalker from Pathfinder! I really want one of those for 5e, but I can never find either,

Glad you like the Bounty Hunter! I think if you make maneuvers a "fighter class" thing, instead of a "battle master subclass" thing, you have a lot of room to make some cool Arcane Trickster type subclasses (I also think WotC having feats/fighting styles that let you learn maneuvers is them soft-admitting this). Grim Warden is a cool idea! I'm not totally sold on the Grim Huntsman name, it was the Sanguine Warrior at one point. I can't really find a name that I'm thrilled with. I'll take feedback here or Reddit, whichever is easier for you. I check both every few days so I'll see it either way. I've never thought about doing a Kickstarter for a book, that seems crazy! But I also thought starting a Patreon was kinda crazy as well, so who knows what the future holds. Glad you like the brews!

Just those names sound awesome! Admittedly, I'm not familiar with Pathfinder. Maybe I'll check those out for some inspiration. They sound like elemental-themed Rangers, right?
