My Hero Academia 6x20 "Hired Gun" reaction & review (Patreon)

Hey everyone!  Here's my next reaction to MHA!  Oh dang, we get to see more of Izuku's life on the run as a secret member of this top hero group!  And when I say secret, I mean it's secret to the public, but OF COURSE All for One figured it out.
Is the Jean Mobile even okay with everyone inside?!!?!  And we get to officially meet Lady Nagant, who I have to say, did not have an origin I was expecting!!!  Her quirk is pretty amazing and lethal, but Izuku thinks faster than most fortunately.
I can't wait to see where this is all going and I just want everyone to be okay!!!

Ive been waiting so long for animal girl and Lady Nagant to be introduced in the anime! I cant wait to see what you think of Lady Nagants story in the next episode.

We finally got the name reveal! For a while all I knew about Nagant was her design and name. Never would’ve guessed that was her Quirk! I’m pretty sure AfO gave Lady Nagant the Air Walk, cause he said”here’s a small deposit” right before we saw her use it. I figured for a while that she was probably a hero, but it still surprised me to hear she killed another hero.

Hi Hime :) The poor woman at the start is also discriminated against because she is a mutant (like Shoji and Spinner). They are really a** hole those who attacked her by blaming her and yes, the turn of events really gives the impression of a different kind of aggression... Despite that, I love her design and the fact that Izuku protects her and is gentle with her, he does his job as a hero well. The red-haired leader, second user of One for All, has the same voice actor as Jotaro in Jojo, just in case you didn't recognize him. About AfO who lacks emotion, we have clearly seen that he already lacks empathy. He says he acts out of kindness to others, but only his own interest counts. As said in the episode, Lady Nagant had the position of Hawks before him. That's why he knows she's dangerous. Lady Nagant has quite a few quirks because AfO "lent" some to her. Her main one is "rifle" but AfO lent him "air walk". Lady Nagant, with Mirko and Nana Shimura, is one of the women drawn by Horikoshi, who... how to say it, makes a lot of men "weak" all of a sudden lol Must say, Horikoshi has done all along MHA tons of good chara design and his female characters, are something.

Hi Spadeas! :) That's kinda what I was thinking when I first saw them yelling at her :( They don't come out and say anything but the whole "how she was dressed" thing definitely implies even more, it's utterly disgusting! Izuku is so amazing and gentle! OHHHHHH that was Jotaro, nice!! Yeah so far we haven't seen a lot to indicate that AfO even has a heart. Yikes, so crazy to learn about Lady Nagant and her former role! Gotcha, thanks for clearing that up about Air Walk! Hahaha she's drawn very nicely, I can see how that style affects people very much lol!

Regarding the stuff with the lady at the beginning, For some reason they translated that part weird. In the manga they don't talk about how she's dressed they say "She shouldn't go around looking like THAT" meaning her mutant appearance.

Damn that poor civilian at the beginning, she's so cute I hope she'll be alright :/ I hope we'll learn a bit more about the second and third holders of One for All, and also that Lady Nagant can be reasoned with, I can't see right now her motives as a villainess. 2023-03-02 06:31:24 This episode is incredible and intense. I agree that it makes sense why Izuku has changed so much so fast. So much has happened one thing after another it’s still crazy that such little time has passed. The fact that in this arc it’s constantly dreary, raining or at night or all of those really sets the tone for what’s going on. I feel so bad for this cute fox/rabbit/shark girl being stereotyped as a villain because of her appearance. I’m glad people told you about the bad translation with the subtitles with this being more to do with the discrimination against those with Heteromorph quirks like with Spinner which is why that stuff with him is even more important. Your reaction to the mistranslation is very understandable it would be even worse if the scene had something to do with that kind of disgusting stuff. I’m glad Deku was there to help her & defuse the situation. And here is another reason why people with out proper training fighting villains is not a good thing because they can’t properly identify what’s going on because of fear & paranoia. I love that he is still the same caring kid we know just with a darker side to it especially when saying he will make things peaceful again. I love that All Might is making sure Izuku is taking care of himself with a nice bento box with his favorite food pork cutlets but I think this is an indication that Izuku is not eating and sleeping enough. His emoji eyes when he smiles is cute. It’s crazy that Banjo is comparing what has happened to society to what it was like in the far past when powers started appearing. I’m really happy we went back to what was going on with the 2nd and 3rd users not wanting to cooperate. I think it was a great idea to get Izuku used to the quirks while he was in the vestige world. I loved getting to hear about the 2nd and 3rd users and their relationship with the 1st. It makes sense that there would be an underground resistance movement against All for One but it sounds so dire especially coming from these 2 with all they had to sacrifice. It’s sad but makes sense why they would want to completely destroy someone who killed so many of their comrades and disagree with Izuku. I think it’s so interesting that they found the 1st and could have killed the brother of their hated enemy or used him against All for One but instead decided to save this person who seemed like they were filled with hopelessness. I think what the 1st user was saying was beautiful about how nothing would have started without that decision. It’s true that if they didn’t want save others most of all they would not have done that. I love that this story and there is probably more to it is what convinces them to help. I love the speech of all the users talking about everything that has made up one for all. And the image of all the vestiges behind Deku is awesome especially the different colors. Also the music during those scenes was fantastic. Oh yeah it was pointed out that this place where Izuku and the other users are meeting is the place where the 1st user was imprisoned by his brother. I will never get tired of anime characters dramatically eating. It sucks having to see Endeavor and the other heroes having to deal with all this hatred but once again you can’t blame those people for thinking this because they are right about some of this. However they don’t fully understand everything and blaming everything on heroes doesn’t help when they aren’t the only problem with hero society. It’s nice to see Hawks & Best J are there to support him. I love that they and especially Endeavor are doing their best to protect Izuku from this hate thinking about the heavy burden he already has. All for One is once again being smart by being careful and having his most important assets lay so no information is revealed. The conversation about the mechanics/conditions All for One needs to steal One for All is interesting especially the idea that AfO doesn’t have enough humanity to feel the necessary hatred. And I believe a lack of emotions is usually associated with sociopaths but I don’t think this is the case because he does feel a lot of joy so when you say it’s like he’s above it all I would say that’s accurate. And we see all might becoming more worried about his successor. I think the way Izuku is attacked so suddenly is done well with the signal going out as well as getting caught off guard even with danger sense which is crazy. I love sniper battles in anything a lot so this was a treat for me especially with the strategy starting up. The way the show built up Lady Nagant is well done with Hawks saying to run and Snipe’s jealousy and talking up how amazing her quirk is. I think her power is so cool but it reminds me of how weird quirks are/can be in this story. The biological rifle is disturbing but it’s awesome. The way she can make whatever kind of ammo she needs is crazy but the most insane thing is how she can do these shots and always hit her target from so far away without a homing ability. Apparently her name is based on a rifle made in the 1800s which was a major technological development. Also I love her color scheme it’s beautiful. Overhaul did so many horrible things so it could be karma but I don’t think anyone deserves to become broken like this. The way All for One looms over her and takes up much of the screen when 1st meeting LN is terrifying. And once again he is too smart for all of us. It was interesting to hear a little about her wanting hero society to be taken down and with the way she talks Lady N seems like a Stain type of character. And of course he gave her another quirk why not right LOL? I have to say the way some of the prisoners are going like woo hoo is kind of hilarious LOL. Finally I agree hopefully Izuku can bring back peaceful times but also make hero society better. Awesome reaction & discussion/thoughts. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

I know, it's amazing to see the change that took place in not much time! Yeah I'm glad the mistranslation got cleared up, it definitely would have been awful if they had been referring to something like that too, but even the discrimination alone is really awful! Yeah it's crazy to think that we're dealing with stuff that Banjo dealt with way back when as well. And I'm glad we revisited the 2nd and 3rd too!!! All Might looking out for Izuku is so sweet! I love knowing the background with the 2nd and 3rd, it really does make sense with the argument about the beautiful things in the world. No kidding about that being the same place, wow! Dramatic eating is the best kind haha. I know, it sucks about the hate towards heroes, even though I get to a degree the anger, it still sucks to watch. The fact that they're so concerned about Izuku really is touching. The sudden attack is crazy for sure! Yeah I love the way they built up Lady Nagant with that clip! No kidding about the rifle! LOL yeah I mean if your thing is giving quirks and you're giving this person a job to do, I guess it makes sense! I know, I'd love for this world to go back to peace but I think some change is definitely in order too. Thank you so much for all your kindness and support!
