Hey everyone!  Here I am with Red vs. Blue, season 12, eps 5 - 8!  Whoa, lots going on here folks....shenanigans, finding out who we are, Caboose trying to defend himself when the subject of murder comes up...!!  We also finally get some insight about the Felix/Locus situation.  Makes total sense they have something much more personal going than just the wars they're involved in!  And our crew decides to take matters into their own hands.  In a way, I can totally see the "logic" in doing things the way we always have - the, erm, unconventional way!  But all those trainees and the rebels were counting on our crew!!!!  We can't just leave them!  Seeing the other base was interesting, particularly their response to the sewage burst LOL.  And last but not least.....WHAT?!?!  Wash, Sarge and Donut are out and about, free, being told they need to rescue the Reds/Blues?!?!  Just what is really going on here?! Great eps!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I mean Church WAS the one that disabled the friendly fire protection on the tank

Using Felix as the trainer is both kind of ingenious and rather hilarious at the same time. Like the guys in the editing room said, they’re making popcorn. Wait, was he bragging about how good looking he was when Tucker charged him? Also Caboose’s little quip about it being the tank’s fault wasn’t wrong - but uhh - Church did mess with it when he was going back in “time.” So he’s not really wrong…? We get a little more on the Locus vs. Felix dynamic and it seems they’ve turned this war into their own personal blood feud. It also sounds like the war between the New Republic and the Federal Army of Chorus (the name for the so-called “Empire” here) has had several chances to end, according to Kimball. But unfortunately everyone’s still in the situation we’re in now. It’s interesting to see Tucker take the initiative of all people and kind of rally the others together for a cause. Maybe all that “training” Wash put him through paid off. When they stopped at the gas station, it’s the same one where Locus killed that pilot in Season 11. The Reds and Blues have always been pretty dumb in some of their methods, but like Tucker has said previously, dumb works for them. A busted sewage pipe after Taco Night might be taking it a little too far. Also isn’t it nice of the unnamed soldier on patrol to announce how far away he is from coming around the corner and seeing everything? Still though… why, snowman??? 😂 I think I heard your brain break right around the time Caboose said: CLIFFHANGER! As the episode ended. I prescribe about a seven day recovery period.😁

I know, it's an interesting dynamic right haha. Hahaha yeah this just became their Netflix! Well, that's true about the tank sooo....!!! Thanks for clearing up the Empire's name lol. That's a shame it hasn't ended yet, and very interesting to learn more about Felix and Locus' roles. Ohhhhh that was the same gas station, good callback! LOL I mean there's dumb luck and then there's just plain cruel, blowing up the sewage right after taco night :P Hahaha yeah good thing that patrolman was narrating everything, including his distance! LOL I am so confused but amused about the snowman!!! OMG I will gladly accept that prescription for my broken brain!!!! :P And I might need a refill!!!

2023-02-22 23:57:55 These are great episodes I really enjoyed your reaction. Episode 5 is hilarious especially all the other soldiers just enjoying the failures. The idea to record their training sessions was actually a good idea but of course Tucker would make it sexual. It really shows how skilled Felix is that he was able to constantly beat all of them without breaking a sweat. Also the subtitles were on point with the hilarious comments LOL. That last attempt with Felix just walking up is definitely the funniest one. The thing I can say is at least all this failure is increasing the morale of the troops. Tucker’s increasing frustration is understandable but I’m glad Felix is being honest with him because I don’t want more people to die. Also yeah from the way he acts around the guys he does seem to care about them. I agree he probably does care about people dying but is hardened to the point of not caring nearly as much as Tucker does. I love the conversation between Kimball & Tucker it’s hilarious, heartfelt and eye-opening. I like how honest and relatable she is in this moment talking about the hardships of this war and what the federal army has done to them. It’s hilarious that when a woman is involved Tucker loses all his brain cells but you have to say he does try. And hey he at least respects the no chance. Also Lindsay’s delivery of the Jesus line in response to the banging comment gives me life it’s the best LOL. It’s so interesting to learn about the relationship between Felix & Locus and the more of the reasons they fight. You said you wanted to know more and I would say you got what you wanted. And it sounds like Felix really cares about these people. It’s sad that in reality there are soldiers that cannot adjust to civilian life. The whole Grif becoming like Sarge thing is amazing. I guess it’s hard to deal with someone like you. I feel bad for the other soldiers feeling like they were abandoned but Tucker is right that their way always works and it makes sense if he doesn’t want to get others killed for them. Also it doesn’t really sound like he is actually planning on abandoning them just wants to find the others so they can come up with a better plan at least to me. At least they have backup if they need help with Felix going after them. All the shenanigans as they were getting into the compound were great but the best one was the whole snowman thing. Although the way the one soldier screams about taco night was perfect LOL. What a crazy cliffhanger am I right :-)? You have a lot of questions and I can’t answer :-) also you have gone full conspiracy mode & I love it LOL. Awesome reaction & discussion. Keep up the great work. :-) <3

Thank you!! Lol of course Tucker would go there! Someone was working overtime with those subtitles and it shows! Felix wasn't too worried here lol. And yes, I agree that Felix does care but has just seen too much, and Tucker is just starting to see stuff like this so it's jarring. Kimball and Tucker's conversation was great! It's a very insightful discussion for sure and the line delivery was great as well haha. I know, we're really getting to the heart of things with Felix and Locus! It is sad that there are many who have fought who have a hard time readjusting when the battles are over. I know, it was sad to see the soldiers get left behind but Tucker is also worried about them too, I get it. I know, at least Felix is there! The snowman LOL!!!! Hahahahha taco night!!! Oh yeah, they're all crazy cliffhangers but this one especially! I'm full on conspiracy mode now!!!! Thank you so much for all the kindness and support! See you next time!

One thing I love about RvB is just how long they can keep a joke running 😂 Caboose was talking in a pirate accent at the end of episode 6 because that's always how he's characterized Sarge/how he's interpreted his southern accent. It goes as far back as when we were in Caboose's mind, and has popped up every once in a while (like how he explained Sarge to Epsilon Church as he was regaining memories). A small cameo, but one of the soldiers that edited the reel (Pvt. Ghanoush) is voiced by Sun's VA (Michael Jones) 😊 Like you said in a previous reaction, it's a really interesting dynamic they set up for the season where all the leader figures are taken out of the equation for our reds and blues, and you get to see how they handle leadership. I especially love the building up of Tucker's character as more than just the background jokester. I like that we can see that he's learned from Wash and is learning from Kimball as well. Also really enjoying Caboose/Grif being used as serious assets in the rescue mission despite them being kind of underestimated tactically 😂 Episode 8 was such a big cliffhanger as the season was coming out, I remember they had a 2 week break (I think RTX was happening) and it was an excruciatingly long 2 weeks 😩 Super excited to see your reactions to the next episodes soon 🙌

kamenriderhime

Lol they do love a good running joke! Oh that's right about the pirate accent, I'd almost forgotten!! No kidding about Sun, yay!!!!!!! Yeah it's interesting to see how they handle these roles right! LOL the use of Caboose and Grif is interesting for sure haha. No kidding about the 2 week break! I thought I had it bad for having to wait one week!!!!!!! Wow! My next reaction is up, hope you love it!! :D
