Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 20 of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime!  WHOA!!!!!  Our crew is still wrecking house in this one, they got it done fast!!!!  And dang, can we take a second to talk about what a freakin boss Benimaru is!!!!!!!  SHEESH!!!!!  Charybdis didn't even get 5 minutes before it was blown up again haha.  I'm glad we made peace with Milim's faithfuls!!
Seems like at the end of the day we're more on the same side than not.  Can't wait for what's next!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Hi Hime :) Gobta still lacks self-confidence, because he is able to compete even for a moment with Yamza, it's not nothing. And when you consider that goblins, like slimes, are supposed to be the weakest creatures in RPGs, it shows even more Rimuru's influence on this world. But knowing him I'm sure that if Albis had promised to reward him, he would have given everything, since all like Shion and the bar elves, Albis was rather well "gifted" by nature lol Shuna will finally be on the battlefield, we haven't seen her fight yet, just support. But since she's been holding it back, I'd rather not be her opponent. Benimaru is casually scary, at the level he is at now, he could probably face Carrion without too much trouble. The time of his meeting with Rimuru is long gone. You said it, seeing all these new friendships forming is really nice to see. With each arc, Rimuru swells his ranks with new friendships and new potential inhabitants of his monster town. Who will be next ? You may meet them soon.

First I should need to point out your title for this reaction is incorrect: you’ve got last episode’s title up in the header. :) Regarding the episode itself, this is another one where Rimuru is nowhere to be found in, but his fingerprints are all over it. The mere fact that the Dragon Faithful and the Dragonewts are equally matched should give you an idea just how strong the two groups are. Also, if Middray is powerful enough to take on both Gabiru and Suphia at once, that is pretty powerful to contend with. But their fight doesn’t seem as filled with animosity, they’re more interested in finding out “who’s really better.” What Clayman does to Yamza is pretty twisted. Even his foe Albis is completely repulsed by it. Remember, the Beastketeers have no “blessings” from Rimuru and yet, they’re keeping up just fine with his forces. It seems Rimuru’s circle keeps adding more and more useful friends. Speaking of Rimuru’s power, if Benimaru is THAT overpowered that he can take down fake Charybdis in one blow, what does that say about the one who evolved him? Even Albis, who’s clearly no slouch herself, is completely shocked. You are correct about Milim being under control because the audience has a birds eye view on everything that’s happening. Unfortunately, from the perspective of the interested parties, no one has any proof of it, so the Dragon Faithful aren’t free to act against her without evidence, or willing to, is what I’m guessing. Well, that whole sequence certainly felt like a cheat code. What are the odds we kick Clayman to the curb with even less drama? It seems Rimuru wanted his forces to study the Harlequins so he could analyze the source of their strength, so they thought they were toying with Geld and Phobio but in reality Rimuru’s the real puppet master. Other than what’s going on here, we’ve got TWO other missions to deal with: Shuna, Soei, Soka and Hakuro infiltrating Clayman’s castle, and of course, Rimuru’s visit to Walpurgis hasn’t started yet. How’re we gonna do all of this in four episodes? 😅

Walpurgis is going to be a "tea battle", haha. Yamza, who thought he was not being controlled, got controlled in a particularly spectacular way. Remember when Clayman was controlling Mjurran? He was using an encrypted electrical signal. He kept that monitoring secret, and insisted on taking telepathic/verbal reports just to hide that. Sneaky. About the Dragon Faithful. There's been devolution over time of some dragons, and some other dragons, even when they are unintelligent magical beasts, can evolve to become intelligent and even take on more human form. But they are not talking about True Dragons here. The True Dragons are wholly separate beings, and the most powerful beings in the world. As you can see, like Velzard and Veldora, they can take human form. Milim is the daughter of a union between a True Dragon and a human. She called herself "the one and only Dragonoid", when she introduced herself to Rimuru. The Dragon Faithful dragonewts are decended from high level, but ordinary, dragons and humans. Also, the dragonewts serving Rimuru, in particular Gabiru's crew, are getting closer to dragons as they evolve. Soka's group are taking a different path...... Father Middray's group got a written note from Milim, in her handwriting, ordering them to help Yamza a couple of eps. ago. They didn't know what was going on with Milim.

That was way too quick to even be considered fire for Benimaru, let's call it a flash 📛 . And hooray to Geld for getting the job done 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Ah yes, great way to put it!! Yup, so true about the control. Yeah it's super sneaky! Ohhhh thanks for explaining about the Dragon Faithful! Interesting to see the evolutionary paths being taken by the dragonewts in our crew. Gotcha, yeah, I figured they didn't know what was going on with Milim, otherwise things would have taken a different turn from the start!

Hi Spadeas! :) That's true! And I love that Rimuru has had that kind of influence! Hahaha true about the "gifts"! I'll look forward to seeing Shuna! For real, Benimaru is a boss!!!!!!! It is nice to see the friendships!!! I can't wait to meet more friends soon!!!!!!

kamenriderhime

Good point that even Rimuru-lite episodes have him written all over them! Yeah this for sure gives a good indication of the power levels. And so true, the fight didn't have animosity at all. What Clayman did was super twisted!!! True about the Beasketeers, that's their power level all on their own, sheesh! Good point, Benimaru's strength says a lot about Rimuru too! That's the thing, the Dragon Faithful have no clue what's really going on sadly. I'd love to kick Clayman to the curb that way! And that whole sequence for sure felt like a cheat code haha. Ohhh nice, that's crafty on Rimuru's part, good thinking. I have no clue how we'll do this in four eps!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to find out though!
