Hey everyone!!!  Here it is - my reaction to Jujutsu Kaisen episode 8!!!  Wow, we get to meet some new characters in this one!  And one of them happens to have a close relation to a character we already know....!!!  Did not see that coming!  Todo really, really cracked me up with all the "butt" and idol obsession stuff, but man - things got real during that fight!  Also, Gojo is the friggin MAN and is just proving that time and time again!  As evidenced by the principal's assistant who was just dying to get a photo with him haha.  Now we have someone new popping up at the end...what's next?  Guess we'll find out!  Great ep - enjoy!!!  ~ MH

lol "a tall woman with a big butt" is the most important info there is to save a life in this show

yeah you haven't seen the person at the end with Itadori before it is a new person (you might have seen them in the credits though)

Todo is definitely an interesting character. Right off the bat he is arrogant, beats Fushiguro to a pulp, and spouts off a lot of stuff that could be easily argued to be sexist or objectifying. And yet there is a sort of charm to him that is hard to pin down. Almost everyone who watches this episode for the first time is more amused than angry at him. I do love that every girl in the show and out of it likes Fushiguro's answer, but Todo is not impressed. I think a lot of guys assume that this is a fake answer to try and sound good, although Fushiguro is absolutely genuine.

To play devil's advocate, I would like to point out that the conservative faction of the 'higher-ups' of the sorceror world have good intentions. The idea of sacrificing one life to prevent Sukuna from coming back seems logical, and their general mindset seems to be "We are controlling the Curse situation fairly well right now, so let's keep everything as it is and not rock the boat." Whereas Gojo wants to take more risks with higher rewards, to make fewer sacrifices, and to let young people do the things they want and try new stuff. The conservatives have a "you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs" mindset. Gojo is not a fan. In his mind, the conservatives trying to keep everything the same is leading to this 'wave of power' building up both amongst Curses and sorcerors. I think Gojo is in favor of chaos and anarchy because the people whose minds are free can build something better from the aftermath. Some of this is just speculation; I have watched the anime and am a casual manga reader, but I haven't read much after where the anime stops and it's hard to get inside Gojo's head sometimes. So take this with a grain of salt. But in my opinion, the 'bad guys' in the sorceror world aren't ALL actually bad guys.

Yeah Todo really makes a strong first impression haha. He does have this rather interesting reasoning about things lol yet also has a bit of charm like you said, that does make me wonder about him. Hahaha I was so on board with Fushiguro's answer!! :P But yeah, I can see how a guy with, ermmm....maybe a bit of a different perspective would think that was lying lol.

Well now that's an interesting take on it! I definitely see what you mean that there's at least some noble intentions in what the higher ups are doing/perpetuating. And what Gojo is suggesting is much riskier, albeit could ultimately lead to a better system/world. Thanks for the insights!!

an interesting tidbit, tho the subtitles say she/her megumi doesnt actually specify that the person is female along with todo saying its fine if its a guy too led many to speculate he is bi/pan (also the fact the itadori fits into his type)

Sooo Todo.. agains Grade 1 curses (that even a Tank may be insufficience) is using just his fists.. well.. thats.. something :DD btw.. Miwa (blue hair girl is the best girl :D) love her so much.. :D
