Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to episode 40 of Kamen Rider Gotchard!   Dang it, we were definitely not out of the woods when it comes to villains - heck, even Gigist made it out! I'm very curious about what's going on with the sisters. They each seem to be pursuing their own agendas at this point, and Atropos striking up a deal with Rinne is pretty wild. The other two kings seem somehow even more threatening than just Gigist! Germain in particular has a more fanciful attitude but seems a bit more unhinged. And now Gon is missing?! What next?!!?! Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Actually, now that you’ve seen this I believe we are at exactly ten episodes left. :P Hmm… Fuga reappearing this week can’t have been done as a coincidence, right? I mean this episode did air on Father’s Day - not like they would’ve planned that or anything… Germain and Gailejah (Sp?) are the new Kings - and it seems the first one is a real ham stealing the spotlight. It was also mentioned by him that he just lives humans so much he wants to transform them into Malgams so they can achieve their real purpose. Hmm… genuine love with damaging consequences - I get the distinct feeling this isn’t the only show that’s been doing something like that this week… Hotaro, I understand you have a little PTSD after the Hopper episode but I do not think your mom is having a Chemy for lunch. XD As Lachesis tries to get more and more human it seems Clotho is getting pulled in the opposite direction. In fact, one could say Lachesis’ empathy means Kyoka’s experiments are yielding results. As for Nijigon’s disappearance - I do think Minato and Fuga might be up to something to keep the Alchemist Association from. “acquiring” everything, that would be my guess on the matter. I’m sure he’s just fine somewhere not on a roast chicken platter. Sorry, not letting that one go. How would you even chew it? 🤣

Now I'm start to feel that I'm annoy Germain. As so as I curious of Spana's character development. I thought his bond with Chemy is now strengthen, but now he start to see them as weapon to fight again. However, it is indeed something questinable how can Chemy coexist with human. They are not something people would be well known about. They can help in multiple things other than fight, but how would other people see them? Also, Clotho's actress said that except the red highlight part, that's is her actual hair. And it seems even her family is surprised. Fun Fact: 20 June is Atropos actress' 10th birthday! Presenting in her celebrating pictures are the actor of Houtaro, Rinne, Fuuga, and last but not least... Geryon! Remember that Geryon's actor never received any bunch of flower, meaning he still have his role in Gotchard. We just never know that what it gonna be like. If that picture was taken today, that's might meaning that Geryon will have his role in the next 2 months or in the movie. Gotchard have only 10 episodes left. Let's see how it gonna end.

Hi Hime :) And here is your second dose of pain, emotional for you, physical for many of our characters. Seeing Clotho sink into darkness is hard to see and heartbreaking because we feel that Lachesis would have nothing against her joining her, but she does not want to return under the orders of the abyssal kings. At least Atropos is getting closer to Rinne and can still change sides, fingers crossed like they did with their pinkies. With these two new “kings” and especially Germain, I looked into their names. Because Germain, immediately made me think of the Count of Saint Germain, who is a historical figure associated with alchemy (and often used in animation). Gigist: Refers to Hermes Trismegistus (Gistus/gigist), it is a mixture which took place between the Greek god Hermes and Thoth the Egyptian god, both linked to science and medicine (the caduceus, symbol of pharmacology is the emblem of Hermes). Knowing this, numerous writings on medicine and Egyptian philosophy were written under the name of Hermes-Thoth, making him one of the fathers of alchemy. Germain: Refers to the Count of Saint Germain, a famous 18th century figure renowned as an alchemist and immortal. Many rumors about him, but he is best known for mastering multiple languages, is a great musician, an accomplished chemist and an outstanding storyteller. Gaelijah: Refers to the prophet Elijah, present in different religions, also a figure of immortality, of absolute defender in his god but also herald of the return of the messiah at the end of time. That's the little lesson, it's also what I like with works like this or others, they can open the way to new knowledge and discoveries. Also, just to finish, can we agree that Rinne's outfit at the end is pretty cute ?

Yeah I think Spanner did grow in his idea of the Chemies a bit, he's just not fully on Hotaro's side when it comes to how he feels. And he does raise a few good points about what happens after this is all done. OMG no kidding about her hair!!! That's amazing!!! AWWWW happy birthday to little Atropos! Hehe! Ooohhh sounds like we'll see Geryon again too then. It could be for the movie too though! Wow, can't wait to see how this wraps up!!

Hi Spadeas! :) Ouch, more pain this week! It's really sad to see Clotho this way. I'm sure Lachesis has nothing against her like you said, it's just the whole Abyssalis situation she's trying to get away from. I loved the little pinkie promise! To think that Atropos would come around before Clotho is kinda wild. Thanks for the name info, that's so interesting!!! I wonder if those namesakes will play into their characters more? It's great to learn about the world through Kamen Rider for sure!! OMG yes we can definitely say that, Rinne was looking adorable!!!!

Wow! We're in the home stretch! Oohhh a little Father's Day cameo! Yeah Germain is a total ham! OOF, sounds like Germain and Toga have something in common! LOL!!!! Hotaro's PTSD is giving me PTSD :P I think you're right that Lachesis is becoming more human, probably largely in part to spending time with people like Kyoka, while Clotho gets further away from it. I could see them doing something to hide Gon maybe! Just as long as he doesn't end up on a platter :(((( LOL like I was this close to saying ummm, he's made of plastic :P
