Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 4, episode 2 of Demon Slayer! WHOA!!! So we finally learn more about Sabito....and he was none other than Giyu's friend who died for him :((((( No wonder Giyu feels so guilty to be here. But Tanjiro knows just how this is considering what he went through with Rengoku. Who better to help him through it, and compete in eating contests with him?! Also Tanjiro was SO funny and adorable in this one! I'm glad Giyu finally gets it, that he's here to honor his friends, not as a mistake. What a sad but great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

It’s going to be interesting to see if anything develops from Tamayo’s visit to the HQ - but it also occurred to me that almost all the Hashira are currently off training, so would that make things a bit easier? It’ll still be awkward… Kagaya clearly is not going to last long in his current state… but I swear, sending Tanjiro off to Giyu while asking him if he can be persistent in his effort to convince him? This is like one of us saying to you, here’s your next show, do you think you could get emotionally invested for us? :P Oh speaking of that, Tanjiro’s repeated attempts at Giyu shows me that both of his buddies have been rubbing off on him a little… though to be fair, he’s not quite as high strung as Zenitsu or crazy as Inosuke… I thought Sabito looked familiar with the mask. If I recall correctly, that was the training session where Tanjiro needed to learn to split the rock. I also seem to remember another person with him… I wonder if that’s also important for this story? I’ve been going through a hard time myself the last month, so I can emphasize with Giyu to a point - granted, it would be exponentially worse if you felt someone died because of you. (Btw it’s heavily implied Sabito was killed by the demon that Tanjiro bested in Season 1.) Even if you KNOW your brain is telling you lies, emotions can be… hard to suppress, especially negative ones. (Hope there no Grimm around 👀). Anyway, support is needed to snap out of it, but sometimes just time and perspective helps. I got a little amused at Giyu telling Tanjiro he was supposed to be the Water Hashura, since he’s mastered just about everything else, and this poor guy, who he met first is like… YOU HAD ONE JOB! 😂 So clearly being someone’s sister is not a good thing on this show because bad things keep happening to them… It’s also nearly impossible when Shinobu talks for me to not hear Yor’s voice now (same VA). I also do wonder if there is a connection between her and Tamayo… when she said her sister “died…” - was that actual or just a metaphor? Hmmm…. By the way, both the opening and ending appear to be collabs - between My First Story and Hyde. MFS is leading the opening and Hyde is too billing in the ending, according to credits. And now that you have that info, I suppose you’re off to the iTunes Store again… 👀

Very glad to get more on Giyu. I’ve been waiting for more of him. I remember Sabito’s kimono and was familiar with Gigi’s but I never put two and two together. Wow that was a great reveal/callback. If I remember correctly there was another student, a girl, that helped Tanjiro when overcoming that boulder obstacle. I thought that was Giyu’s sister when she was mentioned here, until I saw her image. So I wonder what’s the story behind the other girl we saw back then. Okay the ending I am not sure about. And I’m probably wrong but I think it sounded way too familiar because (me personally) it sounded like something from early Jojo. It reminded me strongly of part 3 opening or something. But I’m sure I’m wrong.

The other Hashira think giyu is usually doing his own thing like he thinks he’s above them when it’s the opposite. He doesn’t feel like he was as worthy as them. In fairness, I thought he was just being a bit too removed as well for other reasons. Still it’s sad how long he’s been trying to repress that part of his past that hurts so much.

I'm not sure, something tells me they might stop back for a visit under the circumstances :p Hahaha yeah Tanjiro was quite the choice to send, he got it done though! LOL yeah I can see where his friends have rubbed off on him a bit though! Yeah I think there was another person there with Sabito! I'm really sorry you've been going through it this last month! Giyu's feelings are certainly understandable. Also that's interesting that Sabito was most likely killed by that demon! We really don't need Grimm and demons in this universe lol. Hahahaha I'd totally forgotten about the water training so it's pretty funny that Tanjiro literally had one job and didn't follow through on it! Ohhhh yeah I thought she sounded familiar! That's exactly what I thought about Tamayo - like is she really her sister and the "death" was metaphorical?! Oh yes, I must make a visit to iTunes, thanks for the info!
