Hey everyone!  Here it is - my reaction to episode 26 of Frieren!  WHOA!!! First off, it's not too shocking that copy Frieren wasn't that easy to take out, but it's still really cool that Fern and Frieren planned for all this too! Also DANG, can't believe these things can just respawn!!! The attack that the copy pulled out was pretty sick too. OMG I really thought we'd lost some of our friends, but I'm glad everyone made it out okay! Oh yeah and are we gonna talk about Ubel?! So basically her only limit is her imagination?!?!!?! And this girl's mind works some type of way so that is REALLY scary!!! Well, the second exam is in the books!!! Can't wait for more! Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

It’s rather frightening when you realize what exactly Übel is potentially capable of - but while she’s a bit unscrupulous, there’s also an underlying message that you can accomplish whatever you want to as long as you believe it can be done. Also, kinda chilling how she likened the “mishap” in the test to basically, “I dropped something, sorry.” As far as her power goes, I would make a comparison to the Force in Star Wars - you either can do it because you see yourself doing it - or you’re one of those people who just tries. Also, I’m a little surprised you weren’t a little bit more keen on the sewing reference given your leisure activities - I assume you’ve dabbled in that trade a little. Mage fights are called out as being rock paper scissors - one mage is strong against one type of casting but weak in another asset, so the key here was figuring out how to pair up one mage with a good matchup. See what happens when you actually put your heads together? One person’s weakness is another’s strength, so you can complement the other person’s repertoire. Seems like Denken and Übel were enjoying this a little TOO much - I guess they were bored. Frieren told Fern “I underestimate you.” But she didn’t mean it in a bad way, I think it was her way of saying “you keep surprising me, it’s not boring.” In fact, she’s gotten good enough at her craft she forced “Frieren” to use a move she hadn’t done in 80 years - that’s about a year in Frieren time, but it speaks to his good she is. I think you’re worrying too much about little details at the end - there’s healing magic for anyone who literally hasn’t stopped breathing. Everyone who made it to the bottom passed. Now can someone go help Frieren out of her soulmate? (I mean the mimic of course…) 👀 We’re wrapping up next week!

I always underestimate so much on this magic stuff but a lot of it really is more complex than I give it credit for. The Ubel thing was fascinating. I wonder if we’ll see the Denken and Fern replicas later in a flash or something. Probably not but the one who was planning to take on Ferns seemed to know what she was doing. That would have been interesting to see. The whole thing was a lot darker than anticipated so bravo to those who made it and those who didn’t because that was some tough stuff.

It really is quite something isn't it! I found the Ubel stuff really interesting too! I was kinda hoping we'd get to see the Denken and Fern replicas! It would've been cool. Yeah seriously, everyone here deserves some applause!!!

Yeah Ubel's really power is pretty scary! The underlying message is kinda nice though lol. Yeah she was so casual!!! I can see the force analogy. Oh I don't really sew much! I've tried, but crochet is more my thing! I love the way they did that with everyone's strengths and weaknesses! Lol yeah I guess you've gotta find the fun in any situation right haha. Yeah I took it that way too, that it wasn't that Frieren looked down on Fern or anything, just that she was capable of things that neither of them could really comprehend. It really does say something about Frieren that she was able to come out with a move like that. That's great news that everyone is ok! HAHAHAHA Frieren x mimic forever :P Can't believe next week is the last two eps!!!
