Overview of the Next Update 0.7 (Patreon)

Now that Lucky Paradox Enhanced Edition is finally finished, I can focus on adding new content to the game! finally!!! YEYYY!!!!!

As many of you already know, it was necessary to make a total improvement to the base game, as it was presenting many performance issues, not to mention that hundreds of improvements have been made and the whole game experience has been improved by 1000 percent.

It has been a few months of exhausting work and with few hours of sleep, where my prediction has not been the best. At the beginning I thought it would only take a month and a half to finish the improved version, but as the development progressed, more and more things were getting redesigns and improvements, until the development has taken much longer than desired (Yeah, 10 times better).

Working on improving existing content is much more difficult and complex than creating new content. It's like replacing the cards in a house of cards, if you're not careful, the cards on the upper floors fall and everything is worse than it was at the beginning.

Against all odds, I'm very happy with the final result!!!

Now comes the fun part for me as a developer, and that, it is adding new content. However, now I have to be more realistic with each update. Make smaller and self-contained updates, with faster releases, I don't want to be stuck again for more than 2 months on the same version, while players wait for so long for a new update to be released.

I have been organizing during these days the content that is going to be added for version 0.7, apply what I have learned from my mistakes in the past and concentrate on improving the game experience.

My original idea was to add a total of 6 new characters to Lucky Paradox for the next version. But I have decided to cut the content and leave only what is relevant, reducing the content to be added.

My priorities are:

• Add new story content to the main girls.
• Adding Gia's side story.
• Add new characters, as much as possible.
• Add a new features.

As for the main content, my focus during this update will be Layla and Yui's stories. They received the least amount of content during version 0.6, not to mention that Layla and Yui deserve more love in general. This doesn't mean that there will only be new content for them, there will also be new content for each of the girls. Along with this, more events will be added where we will be able to see the girls interacting with each other, so that the story doesn't feel so disconnected. At the very least, the first Depravity Event will be added: The Trhreesome with Maxy and Charlotte (Yes, you Maxy and Charlotte’s fan heard well)

Gia's side story will be added, as her story will be unlocked during Layla's main story. Kaede will also receive extra content for her story. In addition, some interaction events between Yui, Kaede and Shizuka will be added. However, the main focus in terms of side stories will be on Gia, adding new interactions with her and finishing all the Miss Pumpkin locations.

As for new characters, three will be added for the time being. Adding six for an update (considering new locations, new interactions, new profile entries, etc...) would take a long time. During my free time in the development of the Enhanced Edition, I have been working on these secondary girls.

Luna Blair:

For those of you keeping up with the weekly posts, she won't be a new character entirely, as she was introduced previously, however I'll give a brief summary of her. Luna is the Medium of Argleton, a creppy girl who adds some horror elements to the story (very light horror haha) and events for the month of October (Thanks to the new calendar). Thanks to her we will be able to know Argleton from a more paranormal point of view, in contrast to Liz who is more of conspirations things or Layla who uses logic for everything.

Luna is a blind girl, who lives in a cabin in the forest of Argleton. It will be necessary to complete a few small objectives in order to find her location on the map.

Cassandra Vassandhra:

Cassie is known in her country of origin as the incarnation of Ravana, king of the demon raksasas, some call her Sasa the Demon Maiden and others Cussie... well... just Kaede (think of her as a delicious mix between Cutie and Cassie Hehe).

She lived her early life in the Shogukuni and was the original candidate to become the Blue Dragon, however, when Yui became the Black Dragon, Shizuka took her place, so Cassie decided to go on a spiritual retreat traveling through India and learning Muay Thai and creating a legend thanks to her skills. Now she is back to face Shizuka and prove who is the strongest, however... 

In order to unlock Cassie's story it will first be necessary to access the Pilgrimage through Yui's story, beat Kaede and then Shizuka. This will unlock the event marking Cassie's arrival in Argleton in search of her revenge against Shizuka.

And the third character is a secret for now...

As for the new features. These will be added when the development of the version is at a more advanced stage.

1. It will be added the "Wholesome Interaction", these are actions that allow us to hug, kiss or caress a girl. They will be unlocked as you get "Love Points" with a girl.

It's a small detail, but no less important, haha

2. New Locations: This encompasses the new Miss Pumpkin locations, a small extension of the dojo (Yui's room) and Luna's home (New location on the map).

3. Extend the night events: We will be able to visit other places in Argleton during the night (Maybe a visit to Layla will be interesting).

This will be the roadmap for version 0.7, I have removed many elements that I had in mind, but I don't want to make the mistake of making a huge update that will take too long to be released to the public.

So... What is left for the future?

• The Kamen Rainor Shop Stories: This is a side story, where we will be able to discover the secrets hidden by that crazy guy in the store. This will require progressing through Kendra's side story and then Alice. In this update will be added the gift store and birthday events.
• Felicia's Secondary Story: At the end of version 0.7 the Bagliore's story takes a turn... Maybe it's not necessary to finish the pilgrimage by defeating the Black Dragon after all...
• Uncovering the Argleton Conspiracies: These are a series of events in Liz Grant's story, where we will be able to develop a relationship with her and complete the Argleton Museum.
• The Candy and Ice Cream Shop: Here we will meet a new tattooed and foul-mouthed girl.
• Survival Classes with Catori Grylls: Funny events about wild survival and proteins xD

There is a lot more content planned, but all of this will be for future updates.

In a nutshell:

tl;dr: Version 0.7 adds content with all the main girls, three new girls and new locations.

For now I'm working on the third Lucky Paradox Enhanced Edition Hotfix. As soon as it is finished, it will be available for Citizens and within two weeks, for free for everyone.
