This is the complete set of variants for this weeks maps. It includes Day, Night, Snow, Snow Night, Clean, Snow Clean and Transparent Background variants.

Background

Partially obscured by the surrounding woodland, the keep was built recently by a party of adventurers, flush with gold and loot from completing quests and clearing dungeons. Surely now, with high walls around them in the middle of nowhere, they could finally relax and have a little down time.

Unfortunately for them, their previous adventures left them with no shortage of enemies. Enemies who have chosen to band together and pool their resources in search of vengeance. Will they be able to hold back the tides long enough for their newly found allies to arrive?

Thanks to Connor Merritt who suggested this map as part of my two year anniversary commission competition!

This is amazing Tom, thanks so much again for all the amazing work you do 😊 Any chance for a ruined version for before the keep gets rebuild?

Henri Jankola

These are beautiful as hell. Am I missing something with the fireplaces, I reckon there's a chimney for the big fireplace but it doesn't come out on the roof, and the kitchen fireplace doesn't seem to have a chimney at all? Window in the kitchen for that?

tomcartos

They would probably vent out the sides or have openings not visible on the map (or not at all, nice smokey atmosphere)

Love the build! But may I ask what did you do to make the snow on top of the castle? Thanks

tomcartos

Hi, everything is made in photoshop. I use a textured brush with rough edges and apply a soft gradient to the layer.

This is awesome. Definitely going to use this. Is there any plans for a module release?

tomcartos

Absolutely, we are just finishing up Driftwood (its huge), then this will be next.

Xandria

I fear showing this to my players. They will want to move in and just do nothing. hahahah

Xandria

Such delicious temptation. Yes... I like that plan!

One of my lot got a keep from a deck of many things so this works perfect, its located near ten towns (faerun) so the snow works great and I am putting in hobgoblins and aliies that have a captured good aligned frost giant as part of the storm kings thunder campaign. The original adventurers that owned the keep are all dead after a summoning or something similar went on in the basement. They have become various undead (I wanted to try out some of the more unusual undead they have never seen). As one of the party also drew enmity for a major fiend that could tie in somehow as well, possible even a route to recovering the one that drew Void as well, lol.
