Damn, I guess my province's delayed vaccine rollout ended up immunizing people at a more favourable rate! I wasn't able to get my first dose until late May 2021, and second dose until late July 2021. That being said, I'll still definitely blame my government for taking vaccines for itself from COVAX as well as privatizing our one publicly-owned pharmaceutical company, Connaught Labs, in the 80s and not rebuilding that critical state infrastructure during the pandemic when it was desperately needed yesterday—among many other things. (Also, I'm glad I caught this episode today, because when I was looking through my email to remember the months I was vaccinated last year, I found the invitation for my bivalent booster that I missed a few days ago! Now I'll be getting that puppy tomorrow. Hell yeah.)
