Update Blog - 1/13/24 (Patreon)

This was honestly one of the moments I've been waiting for so long...I finally can catch a break and not upload a video this week. I've said this before, but after going through a hectic schedule in the last two months with all the new releases to review and the holidays to plan out, I can finally have the time to have a pause from uploading a video every week and catch up on the work I have ahead of me. I figured that I put out a big end-of-the-year finale (that I released last week at the start of 2024), so after that would be a nice time to stop, catch up on what's next, and then continue forward next week. And while I had no videos up (other than the occasional Tiktok / Shorts videos), here's the one project I worked on during the week.

- Created the next AniMat's Classic Reviews: Since the next one will be Saludos Amigos, you'd think that this could end up as a simple review where I'll quickly talk about a simple package film that's just over 40 minutes. Ummm...about that. I may have gotten carried away and this may turn out to be among one of my biggest ACRs yet. You see, I won't just be reviewing this movie. There will also be a significant portion of this that will be about the history of Walt Disney's goodwill trip to South America and all the events that occured with the company and the artists around that time. I'll even say that the review will be over half as long as the actual movie itself! But I will say that I still had a fun time making this. It felt like I indirectly put myself back into making Animation Lookback: Walt Disney Animation Studios +. Sounds strange to do this with a review of Saludos Amigos, but this will be a case that I'm going all out with it, which is why it's the only project that I worked on throughout the week. When I'm coming back from this break, I'll be sure to be back in a big way.

And that's all to report about my week. Yes, I'm as surprised as you are with how short this blog is. However, next week will be a big one with a long-awaited video finally making its debut, and I can't wait to show you what I got in store that will officially start off 2024 in a big way with my videos.
