It's 2024 and it already feels like we're starting off on a chaotic note. This is especially the case with the whole Internet freaking out with Steamboat Willie entering the public domain (and most of whom are revealing that they actually don't understand what that means). On my end, I started off with some major videos, one that I released and another that I'm working on. There have been times that I was off to be with family again because this still technically counts as a holiday week, but now things are officially getting back to normal, and I can be back at work and not feel stressed about so many plans happening at the same time. With that said, here's what I've done with videos this week.

- Released my Top 5 Best & Worst Animated Films of 2023: It's honestly been a while that I made a video that I felt proud of, and while I was editing it, I knew that I had something special here. It's the kind where I felt like every idea I had in my head about it and everything I wanted to stay is all displayed here, including the awesome intro showcasing all the animated movies of 2023 to the tune of What's Up Danger. It was also where I held nothing back and I KNOW there's at least one part that can spark some controversy, rather it be calling out the unfair treatment of Elemental and Wish, the big slam on Trolls Band Together, making fun of the year's right-wing stupidity, or also calling out Phil Lord and Chris Miller as abusers to their animators. Either way, there is something that will shock the crowd. Anyways, I'm happy with how this turned out and how it helped me stay true to myself. And now with 2023 complete, onto 2024's animation!

- Working on Animation Lookback: The Muppets Part 8: It's funny how it feels like this is the project that is continuously on and off. This time, however, I'm ready to fully finish this off. The main thing that I was working on this week was making Part 8, which I not only filmed all the scenes with Puppet AniMat, but I was also editing to put this all together. I know many are waiting for this part to be out after a while, but I'm gonna take my time to make sure this comes out great. As you're reading this, I'm still editing and putting this all together, but next week, one priority will be proper revisions to make sure it truly is ready and make all the wait worth it. It's nice to be back with the Muppets again, and this part can finally have a conclusion to its production.

So that was my week and how I started off 2024. By the way,  I'm giving you a heads up that there will be no videos for next week. After the chaos that I went through the last few months, I deserve a break from uploading so that I can catch up with the work I have in front of me. With that said, I hope you all have a great 2024, and until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

I already explained on YouTube on why I think what Lord & Miller did isn’t really abuse or a crime (Or atleast, compared to what other Animation People have done). But I just draw the line when you put Wish on your Best list. For one thing, not only was Wish disappointing, but compared to Across the SpiderVerse, that film actually had more trouble coming from the animators as well as Disney execs making it a generic family friendly film that’s just like most of the modern Disney movies. (Which is why I think what Lord & Miller did isn’t a big deal, as the same thing happened to Disney & DreamWorks behind Trolls 3 and Wish. And honestly a 100 employees isn’t really that big of a deal, as it’s very minor compared to the million other animators & storyboard artist etc who worked on ATSV). I swear, the only reason why you put Wish is because you’re a Disney Fan, and you decided to put it on the best list because you like it, even though everyone else like Schaffrillas Productions & CellSpex have agreed the movie was bad. I can understand why you put Elemental on the best list (Honestly, it was better than it’s opening weekend at the box office), but for Wish… it’s just like how you criticized Mr. Coat for picking Ferdinand to win an academy award. Trolls 3 on the other hand… that I agree with.

Way I have a question for you Animat. Have you ever thought about doing top five best and worst animated films videos of the animated movies from the 2000s?
