I had a great time celebrating my birthday last week and spending time with all my loved ones (even if part of it was because of Canadian Thanksgiving). Eventually though, that time had to pass and my life has to go back to normal where I return to work. Admittedly, it was a challenge putting myself back in place because of the jet lag from all the events I was involved with. But I'm now fully back in my element and was able to get some work done for not just the near future, but also stuff that will be helpful for me in the long run. With that said, let me tell you about my week.

- Released my review of Steven Universe: The Movie: This was an interesting experiment. I know this isn't my first time reviewing movies based on shows or franchises that I haven't seen, but this is one that still has a relatively strong fanbase and I have been aware of its popularity and cultural impact for quite some time. Even without seeing the show, I was surprised to find myself really enjoying this movie. Maybe not as much as fans would, but even on its own, it's very well made. I'll admit that I'm still listening to the soundtrack to this day and would consider it among the best soundtracks in an animated musical. One thing I do hope for is that the Steven Universe fans will enjoy it, because I know they can have their...reputation at times, but if they like it, then that's when I know I did a great job with it. Now with that done, the next review will be something I haven't seen in a long time with Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. I remember the film being quite complicated to understand with its philosophy talk, but maybe now that I'm older, that could actually change and I'll understand it better...right?

- Updating AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast and Other Future Streams: Once the parties were done, the first thing I did was setting up my PC computer to prepare for an upcoming charity stream later this month. However, after this week's episode of AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast, I realized that I need to make a big update for all my streams in general, including the podcast. One major part is that I'll be doing the show where the PC is instead of my usual desk, which will not only give video version of the podcast a new aesthetic, but it will also help with some of the freezing problems that can occur in the middle of it. But especially, what I am considering is to change the priority to focus more on making great episode instead of weekly episodes. I'll explain more the next time I put on ACCC, but I'm going to prioritize making sure that the next episode will be great with plenty of crazy animation and entertainment news to talk about at the cost of always producing an episode every week. I'll even say now that there is a good change that I'll be skipping next week just to stock up on those stories. Even if I've been doing it for years, I'm fully ready to do some real streaming!

- Created the Next AniMat's Classic Reviews: When I got back to working on regular videos with this review (which yes, this is the one for Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence), it turned out to be more tiring that I thought. This isn't because of the movie itself or the amount of work required to make it that I put upon myself, but you know the feeling when you're more tired when you just returned to your normal life after spending a few days or a week away from it? That was how I felt and the challenge that came with working on this review. Don't worry, that doesn't mean that this review will come out rushed or messy. There's still plenty of weeks before this will be released. That's why I'm dedicating extra time to make revisions to make sure that the review will be up to my standard and that everything that I talk about comes out clear and honest to my opinion. Like with the ACR I just released, this will be another interesting one to talk about, but in a different way.

- REMINDER FOR PATRONS $50+/MONTH: This month's Discord Chat will be happening on Tuesday the 17th at 8pm EST. Let me know if you're not available for either so I'll organize a quick chat at a different time.

So that's been my week of trying to put myself back to work while also updating certain parts of it to make it better than ever. As much as I wish the celebrations could continue, I know that there are more important matters to be done and I gotta move forward with the plans I have ahead. There's a lot of great things coming and the next batch of videos I got will be a lot of fun. So stay tuned and, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

Whatever is best for you Mat, as long as you give the best you can for your Crazy Cartoon Cast and the next ACR. I know that you will talk fully about the recent news regarding animation weather it be the Netflix news with their "restructuring" (again). Or how Microsoft finally made its acquisition of Activision/Blizzard. And just to let everyone know since I live close by Blizzard and having an acquaintance who works there, all the problematic people are gone. So now the ball is on Microsoft's court and we will see if they can fix the place and make it less toxic and more in brand for X-Box.
