So I believe I got a brand new plan and it's going to completely change my schedule for the rest of the year. The good news is that it'll be for the better. The only catch is that I'm going on become very busy for the next several days just pumping out review after review. However, it'll be all worth it because I'll be able to catch some new releases earlier than their release date ;) With that said, here's how my week has been.

- Released my review of My Father's Dragon: The best way that I can describe my feelings towards this movie is that this to me is similar to how I feel about Lightyear. I do acknowledge that it's a good movie as is, but undeniably subpar compared to the other works from Cartoon Saloon, even if it's a little unfair to compare because those are full-on masterpieces. I do like some aspects of it like the animation is undeniably beautiful and I can hear the effort from the voice actors putting their heart into it, but the storytelling really needed some work. It's sways between being absurdly juvenal to downright depressing. It even makes me confused if this could be for kids because of how heavy it can go. I don't mind if it goes one side or the other, but not both. But again, this is a good movie as is. I personally would not call this one of my favorites.

- Created the next AniMat's Classic Reviews: As I got some time to continue onto other project, I decided that it's a good time to catch up on the ACRs and get going with the next one. Funny enough, with my schedule from this week (including the Patreon chats with the $50+/month people), I managed to get just enough time to create this review and have it be ready for December. Considering how you already know it's Shrek 2, I won't deny that this was a fun one to make and I did enjoy working on this as much as I did watch it. For now, I'm glad that I was able to pull this one off and immediately jump to my next planned review. Don't worry, this will be a fun one for sure!

- Starting the Top 5 Best & Worst Animated Films of 2022: The year is almost over, so it's about time that I begin the yearly anticipated list. Keep in mind that I'm only starting. That doesn't mean that I'm fully in the process of producing it yet. With all the other reviews and errands I had to take care of, the most that I did with this is create the template for the script and write the intro, which I did think up of a cute little bit to start it off. Eventually, as I get through the rest of the 2022 movies, I'll simultaneously be placing them on their spot on the list and go from there. At this point, whatever time remains this year, I'll be sure to create this video and have it be ready for the end of the year. Who's ready for the countdown?

- Currently working on my review of Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio: In a very surprising twist, there was an early screening downtown that actually showed this movie, and that's an opportunity that I cannot miss, especially when this is a Netflix movie I'll be able to watch on the big screen and I'm honestly very hyped for this. I"ve been hearing amazing things about this feature, and some go as far to say that this is del Toro's best work yet. I'm really excited for this and I can't wait to get into my review for this one. With that said, I'll still be planning to release the review on the Netflix release date, December 9. Either way, I get to do another early review and this won't be the last of this year ;)

So that's been the start of my very busy reviewing plans and this whole week. Once Pinocchio will be taking care of, the next stop will be Disney's Strange World. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to have time to watch the feature and release it next Friday. There may be a chance I'll end up late with releasing the Patreon version, but you'll still get it early regardless. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

Cool that you got a chance to see Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio in theaters just like I did yesterday when it played one theater in my town without going as far as driving to a different city. I really love the movie but I hope to see what you think of by the time it comes out on Patreon!

I'm really curious how the top 5 best and worst list is going to go down. All I know with what we have left are Disney's Strange World, Dreamworks's Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, and the last two Netflix films, Scrooge: A Christmas Carole, and Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio (can't wait for it to come out in December). And after that is going to be award season and from what we got this year, it is going to be a real showdown. There could be a lot of surprises with what we'll get. Also, YAY FOR SHREK 2!
