This was quite a relief of a week. After so many days and hours dedicated to this one project, I finally got another big series review complete, and this turned out to be much more work than I expected. I'll explain more below, but I feel like that was my big accomplishment of the week and now I can be ready to move on to the next projects for the rest of 2022. I still have a lot more that I need to prepare, but here's what I have already set up from this week.

- Released my review of Tokyo Godfathers: I'm only missing Millenium Actress to complete my Satoshi Kon review saga, but as much as I really enjoy his movies so far, I think Tokyo Godfathers could be my favorite. It's so different from the surrealistic nature of Paprika and Perfect Blue, yet there's this beauty that's in the simplicity of it all. It really is just 3 hobos in Tokyo and a baby, yet the film makes the most out of them to make this engaging and feel so real. Even from a technical aspect, the animation is very well done, especially with conveying the emotions of the characters like Hana. It's honestly the kind of movie that's very different (especially for a Christmas movie with its theme of miracles), but that's what I like about it. Very few animated features nowadays would be like this and that's what makes Tokyo Godfathers special. The next review, on the other hand, is more what we know what mainstream animated features are, but it's certainly a very notable one. Yes, Shrek 2 is coming up and it will help make our December a blast.

- Recording & Editing the next Series Review: Despite that this was a series with 52 episodes that I had to watch, this turned out to be a bigger project than even I anticipated. The process like writing the script last week, recording the VO and filming were fine, but it was during editing that it was morphing as I was working. It was the kind of moment that I had to make several updates either because I needed to make sure I say a few names correctly, or especially, there was something else that I wanted to say, but almost forgot to add into the initial script. Even when editing the videos, I kept on changing some clips to make sure they fit better with what I said in the sentence. It was almost exhausing going through this one, but it honestly does feel liberating that I can move on to something else and doesn't require me to take days of prep before actually doing the video. This should be ready by the end of this month, so stay tuned!

- Created a Sponsor Plug: While I had some extra time between this week's reviews I had to work on, I decided to go and get to work on a sponsorship that I recently signed up with. This isn't a big one and it will only be for next week's video, but I figured it was best to have it prepared now so that I won't have to worry about it later and still stay true to my deal. I liked this little project because it was like a palate cleanser after all this time I spent on the Series review and now I can get back to reviewing movies. Of course, the plug will only be for YouTube. The video on Patreon will purely be the review. But I will say that this is a sponsor that does give me some fun with the novelty of it :P

- Currently working on my review of My Father's Dragon: Looks like we're in the middle of Netflix's monthly animated winning streak now. They did great last time with Wendell & Wild and now they got a Cartoon Saloon film prepared with My Father's Dragon. Form my feelings from the trailers, it is honestly hard to imagine how this could be on part with the masterpieces they did before like Wolfwalkers and The Secret of Kells, but this still looks charming and fun in its own right. Will this be AniMat's Seal of Approval worthy? That I don't know, but that's what I"m finding out right now.

- REMINDER FOR PATRONS $50+/MONTH: This month's Discord Chat will be happening on Tuesday the 15th, and Thursday the 17th and both at 2pm EST. Let me know if you're not available for either so I'll organize a quick chat.

And that should wrap up this week. After taking care of My Father's Dragon, I'm definitely ready to go and start some new projects and getting back into talking about movies again. Then again, I better get started on those soon before more new movies come flooding in and the holiday season taking over. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

I'm sure Millennium Actress will show up sooner or later to complete the set.
