Well, that was quite a wild week I've experienced. From last weekend to here, it was just a series of crazy events one after another to take care of a bunch of work all at the same time. There was the Pinocchio review I had to create, spend time with friends an family, gather all the announcements I can to stream a 3-hour podcast episode all about this year's D23 Expo, and this week where I had to do Patreon chats and taking care of some Patreon requests. It's definitely never a dull moment with me lately, and here's what else has been going on this week.

- Released my review of Pinocchio (2022): The smartest thing that Disney has done with this movie is put it directly on Disney+ because there was no way that this would work out on the big screen. As I said in the review, I'm still debating if this should earn the title or not, but this is a strong contender for the worst Disney live-action remake. Maybe it's not the worst movie of the year with a handful of good ideas and decent elements, but not enough to excuse the unappealing visuals, the acting that tries way too hard, and the story that feels so rushed, yet it's longer than the original animated film. The only thing that it really did is make the public perception of these remakes even worse and this is an unfortunate sign that things could keep getting worse, especially after D23 where they announce even more of these remakes (also, let's not get into The Little Mermaid because that situation is an entirely different mess that's actually not the movie's fault). To sum  it up here, it sucks and I don't like it.

- Working on my next Series Review: After going through 50 episodes of this, it's time to finally get to work on the review! Admittedly, I was worried that there was a good amount of episodes and that I took a lot of notes that this would end up taking me a while to produce. However, this is not the case. My thoughts about my opinion and what it offers are clear and I'm currently able to make the process go through relatively quickly. In fact, this review could end up becoming a little shorter than the next one that's coming up soon. As you're reading this, I already got the script complete and I've already both recorded and filmed my parts. So, all I need to do now is to edit all this together and it should be ready to be released in the next few weeks. I'm in the final stretch with this show, and all I need is one more push before I can move on to the next project.

- Created a new Art Commission: There was one day where I had a bunch of small errands to take care of, most of which only required me to talk and that's it. This allowed me to simultaneously go and create an Art Commission for one of my patrons. They asked me to create a swashbuckling sword fight with Redd from Pirates of the Caribbean and their OC Captain Linda. I took a bit of time to figure out how to stage this, but I took this as an exercise to play up with the poses to really bring the characters to life and even play with a bit of effects like Linda swinging over to Redd. I"m pretty happy with the result and the patron told em that they loved it, so it all worked out! If you'd like to have an artwork like this that's created by me, then update your pledge to $25/month and then we'll talk about your commission!

So that was my week with handling all the Patreon work that I have to do and so much more. It was definitely a lot, but thankfully, things seem to look easier with no big events or other errands ahead of me, so that should give me some more time to work and get ahead on my videos. Keep an eye out for more fun projects coming soon, and until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

You mean to say with the 2022 Pinocchio, “He stinks and I don’t like him.” 😂 Special credit to Spider-Man and Jim Norton for such a memorably funny quote.
