Honestly, this week turned out to be much easier than I thought. My schedule was packed to the brim with so much work to do. I was in a weekend vacation with the family last week, I have some of my usual stuff like my podcast to make, I had to do my Patreon chats, I had to get my review of The Sea Beast ready, there were a few small acting gigs I got, and I had to prepare for my Paws of Fury review. From this To Do list alone, it was intimidating. But in reality, I was able to pull them off efficiently well. Went through them all no problem without causing any trouble or delay on anything. So, with that said, here's what I worked on with my videos this week.

- Released my review of The Sea Beast: I guess this is so far the only successful animated summer hit all around that we got, since it is both highly praised by critics and is doing big numbers on Netflix (it even was in the Top 10 in 92 countries in its first week). I was really lucky to find some time on my little getaway to both watch the feature and to write the whole script of the review before arriving back home to finish the rest. And for me, I do find it to be an awesome feature, but I'm not praising it as highly as some critics are. I definitely do love the animation and the action with all the sea monsters and making this like a pirate version of How To Train Your Dragon, but then around the second half, it nearly ruined the experience where it went in the predictable route of switching the goal to save the monsters in the style of Dragon and King Kong. That's when it loses some of its creativity points and it's almost like Netflix put out a weaker version of Dragon. But still, I wouldn't say that it completely makes the film bad. It's just meh writing. Overall, I put this around the same league as Lightyear. It has its issues with the writing, but still looks beautiful and fun to watch regardless.

- Did a little extra work on Animation Lookback: The Muppets: While I did not do a lot of work on this due to other priorities I had to take care, I'll admit that I did do a little more work than expected. Originally, I was thinking I'd have to completely put this aside and take care of the rest before even going back to this. Thankfully, I was given a bit more time than expected and used it to prepare myself for the next segment after the massive work I did for The Muppet Show. I've watched what I needed to see to fully know the context of what I'll be diving into, and I got some articles and sources ready to write about the making of the next Muppet adventure. I'm sure soon that I'll be ready to go fully get back in and finish the script, but it's nice that I did do one extra push here that will help me later.

- Currently working on my review of Paws of Fury: After all these years hearing about the long production of Blazing Samurai, it looks like this story finally has a conclusion and we can finally see it for ourselves under the new name of Paws of Fury. I'm honestly not sure what to expect from this one. I even watched Blazing Saddles to prepare myself and to fully know the context of how Saddles inspired this movie. Admittedly, the trailers didn't sell me on this picture, but who knows? Maybe there is a surprise in store for me and this could be in the same league as Mel Brooks' comedy...or at least somewhere close to it. Anyways, I'm just hoping it doesn't suck.

And that was part of my week with the video side of things. Now that we've reached the end, I'm honestly relieved that I got through all that and that next week seems a lot more calm and clear where I can get back on the next part of AL: The Muppets. Maybe some surprises will be in store for me, but for now, time to get the show on the road and make Part 2 happen. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

As a pirate expert I'm not gonna comment on Sea Beasts accuracy in the same way Viking historians aren't going to say anything about HTTYD.

Well, The Muppet Show section of Animation Lookback: The Muppets should be easy considering you’ve done a review series called the Muppet Vlog where you watched and reviewed every episode of the 5 seasons. So you have plenty of knowledge and resource already with The Muppet Show to talk about its history in the next part.
