Thanks to the early screening of Minions: The Rise of Gru, I've gotten a decent break from working on reviews of new releases. I know there's a lot more to come, but I also have some major projects that I need to work on like getting back to AL: The Muppets, on top of managing my personal life as well. With the time that I did have today, I did the best to make significant progress before jumping back into reviewing. So, here's what I did for this week.

- Released my review of The Avengers: Admittedly, preparing for this review was quite a challenge. Even if this is just Phase One of the MCU, I'm not use to make so much preparation just to properly analyze ONE movie. At least I can say that I'm starting to catch up a little with the entire MCU with one whole phase done. Anyways, since I've done a review of Iron Man for its 10th anniversary a few years ago, I decided to accept one of my Patron's offers to do a review of The Avengers for the 10th anniversary of that. After going through that whole adventure, I'd say that it's...fine. As a movie, I don't really think this is as spectacular as some of the ones that came after it, but this did accomplish what it wanted to do. It's a big fan-pleasing superhero crossover where we get to see the heroes from past movies come together to take down giant aliens. Wouldn't say that this was worth 10 hours of content to go through before experiencing this, but it was a fun watch. Maybe it's because I'm not as crazy for the MCU as others, but now I can say that I'm at least catching up.

- Released my review of Felidae: You kno, after doing that review of Cleopatra and make sure do that censoring work, I never thought I'd had to do that again so soon. This time, however, instead of covering some Osamu Tezuka-style T&A, it was some of the most horrific scenes involving animated cats. I've already seen this film before for that collab I did with That Creepy Reading, but watching it again is still as disturbing and kind of shocking as it was before. However, watching it again and fully analyzing it as is does give me some respect for the feature because, even with all the horrific stuff...it's pretty good! The mystery is engaging, the animation is surprisingly well done and it really goes deep in regards to genetics. It is fascinating once you REALLY get to know it...that is, if you can stomach it. Anyways, the good news is that the next one is guaranteed to be a lot more lighthearted and fun, as I'll be looking into Walt Disney's 1967 classic, The Jungle Book. You can always count on classic Disney to help lighten up the mood.

- Writing Part 2 of Animation Lookback: The Muppets: Yes, after I finished that Top 10, I finally got myself back onto AL: The Muppets to start the new month. A part of me is slightly worried if I would have sufficient time this month to have this ready soon (especially with all the reviews I have to work on), but I'll do my best to make sure this next part will be as awesome as the first. After all, I need to prioritize having this be amazing than to have this come out soon. The biggest thing about this part is writing about The Muppet Show, and this is going to be a BIG segment. Again, the challenge of making sure this doesn't feel like a copy of Defunctland is still present and I'll be doing my best to make sure that the story stays true and that my video and his are as different as they can be, but I've so far written a good portion of the script already and I should be done writing it the next time I return to this. This will be an exciting part because I'll be going into one of my favorite TV shows and how it became the phenomenon we know today!

- Currently working on my review of The Sea Beast: After that little break, it's time to get back to do some regular animated reviews, starting with Netflix's new feature, The Sea Beast. Not gonna lie, this actually looks interestingly cool. Based on the trailers I've seen, it's like How To Train Your Dragon, but with sea monsters and pirates, which does make it feel like its own thing so far. However, is that actually the case when watching the entire feature in itself? Well, we'll have to find out next week, because that's what I'm figuring out right now.

- REMINDER FOR PATRONS $50+/MONTH: This month's Discord Chat will be happening on Tuesday the 12th, and Thursday the 14th and both at 2pm EST. Let me know if you're not available for either so I'll organize a quick chat.

(However, there may be a chance that I may move Tuesday for this month at another time because I got booked to do a commercial for that day. If anything happens that conflicts with our usual time, I'll let you know)

And that's all I've got with this week. I'll be honest, I don't know how much progress will be done next week with AL: The Muppets because there will be a lot more duties and other projects that I'll need to go through first before jumping into this one, including Paws of Fury. I'll be busy for sure, but best to just go through it one at a time before worrying about the rest. So, until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

You got a commercial? Nice! Glad you had a good week! Also, Mom and I just saw The Sea Beast, and it was a lot of fun!
