This turned out to be quite a crazy week of making reviews. After I came back from my little weekend trip, I returned with taking care with a whole bunch of reviews to take care of, including the start of working on the ones for new releases. It's the kind of day that had me all over the place and hopping form project to project, but I'm so far just doing what I can to make sure everything comes out well and keep my work flow efficient. So let me tell you what's been happening with my week.
- Released my review of Cleopatra (1970): It's not every day that I get to talk about an adult movie, and I don't mean any Rated-R film either. I mean something that is full-on porn! And I can say right now that this is not my cup of tea, either as a feature film or even as a piece of erotica. It's just so bizarre that it's hard to get into the story or get into the sexiness. I understand wanting to experiment, but not all experiments work well and I don't think I can say that this is among Osamu Tezuka's finest works. I will say that this was extra challenging to work on with the addition of making the censored version with Osamu's head covering all the lady parts and making that extra ending of me in horny jail. Figured why not take that joke to the next level to present me behind bars for my acts of presenting lust (some may say it was a long time coming for me XD). But I'm happy with how this one came out and I'm glad I was able to make the most out of this crazy film. But thankfully, the next one will be a lot more tame and familiar as the next review will be Lilo & Stitch. I've been a bit on a roll with getting into some Disney films, so why not get into this fan-favorite!
- Released my Sponsored video of the Gaomon PD1320: While I may not have given this a preview in here, this was a special sponsored video where I worked with the people at Gaomon to do a special review of one of their graphic tablets. I will confess that they didn't pay me money for this one, but I figured it would be cool to get my own graphic tablet for free, especially when some can get quite expensive (in fact, it's too much of an investment for something I do as a hobby from time-to-time). One thing I didn't mention in the video is that it was a bit difficult to draw and record at the same time, as it causes the tablet to lag, but when using it without recording the footage or anything, it still works well. Maybe this could end up screwing YouTube's algorithm for me (which happens often), but hey, at least I could say that I got a cool graphic tablet out of it! In fact, this might even help encourage me to draw more on my spare time!
- Working on my review of Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood: I know some may say that I could be late with this review (since this did get released last week on Netflix), but with everything I have to do in my life, I didn't really have time to fully commit to get this ready like other new releases. However, I don't think there's a major rush for people wanting to know my thoughts on this, so I'll be taking my time with having this review done. As you're reading this, I'm almost done with editing the review, but I may be planning on having this be released at a later date. Either put it out later this month or even next month to not clog up my schedule too much. So I will be reviewing this, but the review itself won't come out immediately.
- Started watching episodes of the next Series Review: Yes, there is another series review that will be coming, but with all the other work I had to do, I didn't get very advanced with this project. So far, I've only watched about half of the episodes that I need to watch. Luckily, this is actually a short series, so I don't have a whole lot to check out, but I will say that I'm already getting invested in this show and it's the kind that did get some hype and now I see why. I'll probably have to think about what can I do to make this review special to reflect the theme, but that'll be when the time will come to jump onto that review. For now, I still need to binge a bit more.
- Currently working on my review of Sonic the Hedgehog 2: Since I've reviewed the first movie, it only makes sense for me to come back for seconds. Honestly, I was pretty hyped to check this movie out. Despite not being a big fan of the first, this one looks like it will offer so much more of what I liked from the original. Not to mention that the trailers make this look very promising, so I came in pretty optimistic. I know critics have some varying opinions about this, but let's see where I will place myself when I get this review ready for next week!
And that was my week of juggling several reviews at the same time, and this isn't even mentioning things that I've done outside of work. I'm sure that, eventually, things can calm down a bit so I can have a moment to breathe and get some good progress done on these, but I'm just making sure I don't overwork myself too quickly where I'd need another quick vacation XP So, until next time...
See ya later, dudes!
