There was one line that did stick out to me and I liked it because I thought there was a lot of truth to it, and it’s where Raya’s father says that we can either keep fighting and tearing each other apart or we can work together to make the world a better place. I love this line because of how much it reflects the world we live in now, the world is the way it is because of how selfish people are. I believe the world would be a better place if people would just learn to respect each other and take responsibility for their actions and I felt like that was the message the movie was trying to convey. And I admire that

I watched this movie last week on Disney+ and I gotta say the wait was absolutely worth it. This truly is one of Disney Animation's most action packed movies they have ever made and is one of the highlights of the movie. On top of some gorgeous looking animation and some very likable characters, this is definitely a film worth watching. The only minor issue I have with it is that the story has a bit of similarities to Avatar The Last Airbender with stuff like the divided tribes but the story is still solid regardless. Also I’m just happy Kelly Marie Tran is getting a lot more work and just a lot more respect after how toxic Star Wars fans treated her with the Last Jedi and how she was underutilized in Rise of Skywalker. I am a little disappointed that you aren’t going to talk about this film in Animation Lookback Disney Studios+ but it’s not that big of an issue.

While I do agree that the movie is good from the beautiful animation, interesting story despite being too similar to Avatar: The Last Airbender, good action scenes, solid visuals, great voice acting including Kelly Marie Tran which I find her performance to be her best one than she what performed in the Last Jedi though I blame Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm for this, fantastic soundtrack, and well written characters. I also do agree with the criticism that the humor was a hit or miss since it tries to depend so much on Awkwafina’s humor where I end up finding it not funny. However my criticisms for this movie and it may sound controversial, I thought the story’s pacing was rushed where it goes way too fast, giving little room for me to breath with the characters and it may sound unpopular, I thought the message was heavy handed. Hear me out, I agree it a good message about trust and it is relatable especially how the United States is so divided on real life issues, I just wish this movie didn’t keep reminding me so much about trust particular with Raya where I end up saying, “Okay I get the point!”. What I’m saying is that they should’ve make the message subtle and visually without telling me so much about the message. Overall, do I think it a good film? Of course, but not as great as I hope though. Was my opinion harsh? Yes, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like it. I find it good but could’ve been stronger for me. Hope you understand still.

Most action packed since.... I wanna say Atlantis? Yeah that works for me.

Looks like we already know what the #1 Best Animated Film of 2021 will be. On a side note, Awkwafina’s comedy has got me concerned with how her performance might end up in upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid; considering she’s going to be voicing Scuttle.

Can’t call best animated film of 2021 just yet. There Pixar’s Luca and few others like either a Netflix film like Pinocchio or a Sony film like Vivo

Raya and the Last Dragon: Oscar Seal of Approval I have three questions of everyone deciding whether you should see this in theaters or on Disney+ 1. Are you healthy and have a face mask to wear? 2. Is a movie theater near you open? 3. Are you financially stable? If you answered yes to all questions Go watch it in theaters If you answered no Disney+ and stay

Kim Lechman

Definitely the video I needed to watch before I go into surgery tomorrow for my broken ankle

1. At my theater masks are required so I had to wear one 2. Yes my theater is open 3. I work at a movie theater so I get in for free so I don’t have to worry about being financially stable. I ended up seeing the movie in theaters and despite the fact that there were some aspects of the movie that didn’t make any sense I still liked it

With how great this movie was, I have a feeling Disney is starting to turn into the next Marvel Studios.
