I can't even remember the last time I gotta jump from one new movie to the next to make reviews out of them. Especially with this pandemic, it feels like a rarity. Then again, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, so who knows if this could become a little bit more of a common occurrence. Anyways, with that said, let me tell you about my week.

- Released my review of Tom & Jerry (2021): I wasn't sure what to expect when watching this. I've always heard about it and seen some trailers, but never knew if this could end up either forgettably bland or be a pleasant surprise. As it turned out, it was much worse. Maybe I'm on the side that might be a bit too harsh on the picture, but I can't help but find this to be absolutely miserable. Not only is this built like those cringey live-action/animation hybrid family films from a decade ago, but it also feels completely unpleasant from top to bottom, especially with such distasteful characters that emphasis the toxicity from Tom & Jerry's relationship. Sure, the moments when it tries to be a Tom & Jerry cartoon are fun, but those times are far and few between and doesn't change that I still had to sit through a lot of garbage just to get a small handful of decent enjoyability. I can imagine this being a strong contender for the worst movie of the year, but I think after this and last year's SCOOB, I don't think I can trust WAG with any more Hanna-Barbera IPs.

- Writing the final part of AL: Walt Disney Animation Studios +:  Since I didn't really have a whole lot of time for this project this week, mainly due to working on the Tom & Jerry review and what I'm doing now, the most I could do with the final part is just take small steps and manage my time to make small steps, even if it's not necessarily all in order. For the script, I could only do the research and do about half of the writing of one segment (although maybe I could end up being more advanced after writing this blog and might even finish the section) and I worked on the recording of the first segment, which I am glad because it turned out to be quite a big job in itself. However, once, I'm done with the review I'm working on right now, this part will be my top priority and will have a lot more time to get it finally done.

- Currently working on my review of Raya and the Last Dragon: This movie could not have come out at a better time because I'm gonna need something to wash off the bad taste of Tom & Jerry. I've been hyping myself for this movie for quite a while and now that we are more than three months after its original release, it's time for me to see if the wait is worth it. I will admit that the trailers have sent me some mixed signals, but then again, that's what  I said about Zootopia. The critics seem to love this one, so let's see if I can join their mindset or be the odd man out.

So that's how I've been lately, among other things in my personal life, but I already told you about the interesting bits. Now with these reviews out of the way, it's time to go full gear on AL:WDAS+'s big finale and end this massive journey, so until next time...

See ya later, dudes!
