Hey everybody! Today I want to run a poll for the Flare Shot upgrade, to get an idea of how everybody feels about it. I ran a poll like this recently in our Discord server, and depending on how the poll goes, there will probably be another poll in the near future!


I've been doing some thinking on Crisis Point's control scheme. With the changes to the Wire Shot especially, the whole "swapping between subweapons" has become increasingly clunky; I've also received complaints about the Wire Shot being included in the subweapons category, since it's not really a weapon and gets in the way of combat sometimes when trying to use the Force Shot/Flare Shot. Because of this, I've been thinking about what my options are for simplifying the control scheme. I have some ideas for this already, but rather than deciding for myself what's the best option, I wanted to run some questions by you, our supporters, to get a better idea of what I should do with it.

So, my question for you today is: how do you feel about the Flare Shot? More specifically, do you ever use the Flare Shot in combat, or do you only use it for progression? I love the spinning flare since it gives off light and hits through walls. Would be nice if it did a little more damage though. Upgradewize I would like to see a bigger area of effect add on and the ability to have more than 2 at a time.

i think the main problem it has is it has to compete with the force shot for a slot that's just so much more effective in combat and works underwater. might be better to say give the plant clearing effect to force shot as a upgrade and make flare shot into something else more utility?
