Hey Patrons,

Hopefully by now you've had some time to watch our John Romero Profile that went live earlier this week. It seems to have gone down well, and we're already hard at work on the next few projects. So now is the perfect time to share some of patron-exclusive stuff I shot while in Galway.

After our interview John brought me to a place where he keeps a bunch of his classic video game collection. From shrink-wrapped Apple II games, old id Software memorabilia, Daikatana carts and more. You may have spotted some of this as b-roll in the main feature, but this is the full cut complete with John's running commentary.

Also, John sent me a Steam Key for their latest game Gunman Taco Truck  but as you know I don't like handouts (and already own it anyway) so I thought it best to pay it forward. First come, first served:  (edit: key now redeemed)

Some general housekeeping and updates while I'm here!

New Categories!
I've cleaned up the patron feed  with new featured categories (tags) that should make surfacing all previous patron-only content much easier. General news is all under "Updates " while categories like "Behind The Scenes " and such only feature the posts with actual videos.

PAX East Panel
By TOTAL CHANCE we're celebrating our 6 monthiversary the same day as our Pax East panel - March 12th, 2016. Bumblebee Theatre at noon. There will be party hats, and maybe cake. See you there!

GDC Sessions
We have a spot booked for our special Game Developer Conference interview splurge which will be going on at the end of this month. We've booked some pretty big (and small) names already. Expect loads of fun, bite-sized interviews in March.

Patron Content
Thanks for answering that poll last month. Using the feedback from that I've decided to do some work to ensure we have more substantive behind-the-scenes content.  I'm also testing the idea of more patron-only shows, or a public show to go in between the docs. After four months of this not falling apart I'm more willing to invest in the weekly running with more effort. And there seems to be a real thirst for videos too. Even if I put them on my personal channel. Still working it out. I'm hoping to get a pilot out this month, so maybe you folks can help with me that soon.

Project Three
Our third doc project is still planned to be released this month. Keep your eyes peeled.

That's all for now folks. Expect Q&A / Hangout updates today too if you're in that teir. Hope you enjoy John's collection. Let me know what you think below.

Thanks!

Danny

What an amazing archive. Inspiring and motivating. Just fantastic. It's also amazing to see how welcoming and down to Earth Romero is.

I hope to have a collection like that when I get his age. I'm still young it's not too late, dammit!
