Hey hey!

Very excited for Cinema4D's new realease!
Great new features in simulation area and I decided to do few videos (before breaking down "Anti") regarding some key aspects of rigid body simulations.

RBDs -while easy to use- have always been kinda unstable and in this first part I am gonna show you how to tackle some of the technical part behind them and debug the sims so they behave as you wish.

I am gonna follow up with a case study showing a practical example in depth.

Overall very excited honestly haha, last few versions of c4d tend to surprise me in a positive manner :) For a full breakdown on C4d 2024 new features be sure to check RocketLasso in youtube!

Let me know what you think in the comments below!
Cheers,
T.

This tut could not have been more perfectly timed, I'm right in the middle of a very large rigid body sim project and was havign problems with objects jittering and popping, decided to bite the bullet and move it to 2024 and follow your finding on the parameters. I learned so much from this, very much appreciated.

Hey Thanos, that's not exactly the subject here but I'm trying to achieve an animation close to what you do at 22:40 of your video except my objects bouncing up and down on the plane. I've tried to play with the cloth tag a lot but my elements settle down and it doesn't really work. Also keyframes on the stretchiness but it's not super clean... Thank you :)

If i understand correct, you want the cloth to hit the "grains"? you need to move your plane from the edges up and down yes.
