Ending the year with a grim specter of death seems appropriate. Let's put 2020 to bed and wake up in 2021. In this video I'm starting a project from Creature Caster. It can be somewhat of a challenging model to approach but one mindful step at a time will get us what we're after, Deathflesh! Enjoy!

Wow, so much to learn. The models always look amazing and pretty far from what I manage to achieve for the time being. Do you explain somewhere why you pick these colours - or which colours work well for "undead flesh"?

Thanks Wim! I don't have formal breakdown on the chosen colors, just the instinct to make the skin near lifeless. Generally the skin turns gray and pale when drained of blood, eventually brown but I'm trying to capture that near death, zombie like state. So black and white to mix a gray, some Vallejo deck tan to add a gray with a touch of warmth and red and blue accordingly to break things up a creat e a deeper colder shadow. I hope that helps!
