We now have a replacement webcam, and it works with the laptop. Sarah's set things up for the technical side of things but I have to figure out where I can physically set the webcam up and do whatever it is I'm going to do with it and all that. We're going to try a small test to see if things work, hopefully within the next few days. I'm really clumsy with even the most basic technology so it might be a bumpy ride.

I thought I'd ask what would be an ideal time to do this for those who are interested in participating. Obviously we're all on strange schedules these days. But feel free to chime in and let me know what's good for you out there, and see what that leads to.

Also, let me know if there's anything you're interested in covering on a livestream. Drawing, showing off old work, discussing old scripts or pages or comics of mine, looking through work by other people, weeping openly, summoning Nyarlathotep..? Maybe I can show off stuff that's sitting around, sketchbook doodles. I don't know!

I have to admit I'm uncomfortable drawing in front of people, but we'll see what happens, The distancing effect might help a lot. it's worth a shot. I just wouldn't work on someone's commission or a page of something for fear of screwing up. I was thinking of doing a character rundown on the Marvel villains piece after I finally finish. That could be good for a few nerd laughs. I can see my "process" revealed, making endless mistakes, worrying over petty details, letting the OCD overrule common sense, erasing everything or tearing up the paper, placing my head down on the drawing table, cursing my life, crying. Starting over again, repeating...the process.

Hope you're all healthy, and coping all right. Thanks to everyone sticking it out here through April. Things are pretty overwhelming, and I'm still dealing with pain issues and trying to get as much paying work done and invoiced before windows shut on more projects (and who knows what will happen to payments with Diamond's announcement of not paying suppliers, cripes all mighty) but I want to try to post more often and get the PDFs and art cards out (one problem with the latter is I found out I'm not supposed to offer anything in that particular manner on this platform. So, I'll figure that one out in a way that's appropriate, if possible).

Work-wise, I turned in the first script for the project I can't mention the name of. Sarah finished coloring the second cover, and I'm outlining the next issue. Fingers crossed we don't get the pencils down call. We'll see how it goes. Everyone's going to get hit by this. Well, plain folks will, and that's most of the comics industry.
