iCubes: Nabby vs Zetta (Patreon)

Synopsis/Description:

More iCubes! In a fight between Nabby and @lipucd 's Zetta?  My money's on Nabby.  (Zetta really needs some new glasses so she stops mistaking Nabby for Abby!)

The Rant:

A suggestion thread ask from a former patron.

These kinds of suggestions are always interesting because the OC is never supposed to win. That being said, it makes repeated showings a difficult challenge because how do you top the last time the character showed up?

And "top" isn't really the right word, because I don't want to escalate, but I do want to "differentiate." Which still brings us back to the same problem.

This is made worse by Nabby's canon obsession/compulsion with chasing Abby; Zetta could technically escape this fight simply by walking away and Nabby wouldn't really care because Zetta's not Abby.

Well, in this instance, I decided to lean more on my traditional roots, and make it more of a fight. More of a fight she's obviously destined to lose (given how close she is to already being engulfed), but a little more exciting than just having her be a Nabbypillow in a corner.

I've also spiced up Nabby's design a bit. Less in terms of design differences and more playing up her gelatinous nature, both to differentiate her from her source (and similar characters), and also to make her a little creepier. Like she's less a humanoid shape that happens to be made out of goo, and more a mass of goo with a twisted sense of adoration for a particular person. She'll never lose that bust, but the rest of her body is fair gam (especially depending on what's more entertaining for a given scene)
