Oof, Abby can't even stop and smell the roses without getting pollinated in more ways than one!

Process Gif:

The rant:

At first, when I finished this one, I wasn't too sure about it, mostly because I was super tired, and I'd been fighting both Adobe Animate and my internet connection during the stream where I worked on this. I really need to talk to my ISP about why my internet is so unreliable when I'm theoretically not doing very much, even if I'm using it a lot. As for Adobe Animate, it turns out that it doesn't like all the detail of the AbbyCapers, specifically the hatching, because it creates a lot of vector points in a single composition, which Animate REALLY doesn't like (the purple dots are vector points):

yeeaaaahhh... And that's just the line art layer! Imagine the multiplier for shadows, highlights, shines colors and background elements!

Though, to be fair, this isn't how you're supposed to use Adobe Animate. I'm pretty sure it's not how you're supposed to use any vector program, for a few reasons:

Animate can handle that many vectors (obviously), but its not supposed to have to handle all of them in a single composition or frame. They should be broken up by panel compositions, animations, or animated assets instead, so the program and computer can process them properly. I also didn't have to use as much hatching as I did, which you can see in the tree behind the hypnoflower, and in Abby's hair; Spot blacks are your friends!

All that caused my comptuer to chug towards the end as I was doing lighting and coloring. I don't really expect it to be a reoccuring problem (until the computer becomes too old to handle it) but it is something to think about going forward.

That being said, the background didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would! Yay! I think giving her a ground texture and plants to rest on helped a lot in that regard, though I think I could have sold the pollen/perfume effect a little better. I like the idea of individualized line colors for certain special effects though! Maybe something else to play with in the future?

Last thought: You might be wondering why Abby's loincloth is protecting her dignity in the last pose. I mean, we all know where those tentacles are going, and what they're doing, right? Welp, Abby's main public gallery archive is on DeviantArt, and they're a little testy about showing both Vag and vaginal plug interfacing with each other.

I personally have no issue, but I think gallery archives are an absolute necessity for online artists and their audiences, especially if audiences want to reference something that Twitter/tumblr has long since washed away. Even Patreon's pretty bad about it, even with tags.  Right now, its not really worth my while to set up shop elsewhere, and it would take a dedicated month to re-establish my archives elsewhere. Right now, DA's the best option, albeit with some personal self-censorship to keep the prude-police happy.

Maybe I might go a little further in the future, but it'd have to be worth it to exclude the DA peeps who've made up my second (first being "Discord") audience. Until then, we'll just have to infer; sometimes that can be even more fun!

Let me know what you guys! there were a lot of thoughts on this page!

Detailed 'rants' like this is really nice to get for the creative process that goes behind this stuff for sure! it's a bit of a shame about DA being your only "valid" place though! Yet thinking on it...Pixiv sadly wouldn't be too much better with a need to do censorship pixalizing as well, while FA has it's own issues to worry about. Only really valid alt's are Hentai-Foundry (but for a while you'll need to go into a 'processed status and that can take ages depending on), or Newgrounds (chances are the only really valid spot, but with chances are lowest traffic of them all...)

I'm fine with inference and suggestion, myself. I don't DA, but I have Nacha there scouting all the time lol. As for the technical stuff... well, programs aren't always used how they're intended to be, it does cause some issues. Heck sometimes they aren't used how they're supposed to be even when they're supposed to be used that way! I think it turned out pretty well in the end, anyways.
