I decided to time exactly how much time has passed in the comic since the start of the fight since it's difficult to visualize just how fast Chai was going at first. I think 280 BPM is the fastest his player will ever have gone. And yes, he spent almost a full minute underwater. Because water doesn't actually make for a soft landing and he got stunned. That's why he was so melodramatic when he finally came back up.

The total time more or less added up to what I had estimated. If you were wondering why the gang hasn't shown up yet, this is why. And I know Peppermint said it would take them 20 minutes but that was also just an estimation. They might show up a bit earlier... or later. Who knows! The mystery is half the fun!
