And this is where the evening goes from great to phenomenal. Comments always warmly welcomed and deeply appreciated.

Have you ever seen one of those videos with those nasty ass parasites coming out of an insect after mind-controlling it, leaving behind an empty husk? No particular reason for me to mention that.

Hey! Although most Patreons seem delighted with the direction of the story, I knew it wasn’t going to go down well with everyone. It’s indeed why I’ve tried to extensively warn people where the comic was going and why I don’t want the devs to see it at all. And it’s also why I disagreed with comments saying this story feels like an extension of the game. I think this is where me trying to make it look so visually convincing to the official thing backfires a little, kinda feels like I hoodwinked some people in hindsight. Your feelings and criticisms are very valid and to an extent I agree with them. A version of the comic would have worked without excessive violence and I actually had an alternative story that went like that. The reason I didn’t pick that one was because I just didn’t feel the same excitement for it. I’m the one who has to spend hundreds of hours drawing this thing so I went for what would entertain me above anything else. And I wanted something I would never, ever get to see in the game. Mostly (h)Armless will always be just fanfiction. I hope it hasn’t ruined the magic of the real thing for you forever, once you get over your disappointment with the comic. My next project will probably be something with dinosaurs and be more light hearted, idk if you’re into that but if you are I hope you’ll give it a chance! (Out of curiosity, where did you follow the comic? Did you come from tumblr or somewhere else? People rarely use the same username on Patreon so I often don’t know who I am talking to)

This is a really badass page. I can't help but imagine the intro to Vaal Hazak's theme to this hahaha! Really dig the use of silhouette as a way to obscure the transformation in the last panel there (though my body horror loving self wishes that we could see it). Looking forward to getting a good look at what this creature really looks like!

Bruuuh monster hunter music is so good. I do agree the ominous start of Vaal Hazak’s theme does fit the scene a bit. I personally had the Little Nightmares monster reveal sound in my mind. (Can you imagine Chai rocking out to Valstrax or Astalos’ themes tho?) Thank you!
