When I released 0.2.7 I knew there would be many bugs since there were so many changes to basically every part of the game. As time has gone on more issues have been reported. While I'm still in the middle of trying to build out chapter 3 I feel it necessary to release a bug fix build.

This is a bit of a problem as I was also in the middle of the character/battle/status effect rework and rebalancing but I've spent about 8 hours yesterday trying to put it back into a playable state.

At this point, overall I think the game may be harder, but leveling up should be stronger. I think it is playable but some parts may be a little rough still.


Here's the list of game breaking issues that I've compiled. If I've missed any please let me know. I'll try to release a bug fix build tomorrow.

  • You can skip the billboard scene and go straight to the Warlock's manor. Doesn't break the game right away but can cause issues down the line.
  • Interacting with the patron monuments soft locks the game.
  • Fast travel menu from the billboard may be soft locking the game or being accessible when it shouldn't be.
  • After defeating the slime king, the exit may soft lock?
  • The exit trigger will only trigger once, if you choose "Not yet" you'll be stuck.
  • Hero could get permanently stuck in one of his monster forms after getting the beast soul gem because his form-lock status was not being updated properly.
  • The Alpha Wolf doesn't have a surrender screen like the other monsters since the defeat scene is scripted, however this makes surrendering to him and getting the beastform more difficult than intended.
