Hey guys, mid month progress report time and I'm just going to jump right into it!

Conditional Turn Based Battle

I implemented a conditional turn order system, where character's turn order now takes into consideration their agility and the types of commands that they use may cause them to have a greater or shorter delay towards their next turn. A preview of the upcoming turns is now displayed on the side of battle. This will be further improved and polished in upcoming updates to UI.

Status Effects and Skills

Status effects now have resistance checks and characters can have resistances towards certain status effects or even be completely invulnerable. A few skills and equipment items now have additional status effect related attributes attached to them.

Enemy Patrol Behavior

The Slimes now patrol back and forth in their spawn rooms, it's a simple thing but adds a bit more life to the dungeon.

Ongoing Dungeon Improvements

I tweaked some of the rooms in the dungeon and added some new art and effects. I will continue making little improvements to the dungeon over time.

UI Improvements/Menus

I added the ability to switch characters in the Status Screen and Equipment Screen so you can see what Ash has equipped now. 

An item menu has been added so you can use items outside of battle.

Battle UI has been tweaked, you can now see all the characters HP/MP and the predicted turn order on the side.

Slime King

The final boss has been updated with improved animations, new skills and art. There is now a game over screen with a special animation!

Respawn

If you lose a battle you can now respawn at the last crystal checkpoint.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

Cleaned up the player controller a bit so it reads better (for me) but also the logic works better and certain odd behaviors are less likely to occur.

Fixed bugs surrounding characters dying and locking the game.

Selecting a command now will default the selection to the enemy party if it is offensive, or to the ally party if it is healing/beneficial.

Added dialog blurbs when a character kills an enemy.


A lot of changes this time so please let me know if you encounter any bugs or odd behavior!
