as with grass (and probably with dirt next) I tried improving how repetitive blocks would tile over large distances. with the same block it's almost unavoidable so the only way to "fix" that is to introduce random tiles.

I won't go into full CTM variants (at least not in the base pack) but I just want to add some amount of randomness to "break" the ugly patterns that can be seen with blocks occurring naturally over large distances such as grass or stone.

That's the reason why you'll only see a couple of CTM randoms for such blocks in the base pack. Here I tried improving that for stone, I'll possibly add one more tile to add variety underground.
